Shrimp Basket

First time I’ve been to Shrimp Basket in probably 4+ years. Delicious food! Great service and reasonable prices as well. I had the Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos, which is basically Buffalo sauce (at least that’s what it tasted like) tossed popcorn shrimp, homemade ranch, lettuce and cheese on a tortilla. SO good! I highly recommend that meal. My two friends got the catfish baskets and they were just as impressed. We went at around 1:30PM and we were the only customers there. Super easy to get to and well worth the trip. Go and try it!

This is the smallest shrimp basket I've been to but my favorite by far. They were getting busy as we arrived but the staff kept calm while they hustled. The food was so vibrant and delicious, a big contrast to what I've come to expect from SB. It's a bit pricey but I was happy to pay for what we received today, from the food to the vibe of the place.

I’d honestly give the food a zero if it was possible!! They have taken the trend of shrinkflation to a whole new level! It was $21 for these three little slivers of “white fish”, which honestly could have been anything because they were so thin and so overcooked, that all I could taste was oil and salt! The hush puppies weren’t much bigger than a nickel in diameter and were overcooked too due to their small size. The shrimp was cold and rubbery and the fries were cold and hard. The last picture is what was tossed because it was inedible! Not sure how they stay in business with this quality!?!

We ordered the seafood basket and the gumbo. The food came out freshly cooked and hot. All the servers were really nice and spot on with refills and seeing if you needed anything else. I missed out on oysters on the half because they had run out from their special the day before.

We have driven by this place many times and finally decided to give it a shot. We were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was delicious! My fiancé does not care for seafood, but they had plenty of options for her. She ordered the chicken tacos and we were surprised at how good they were. The atmosphere is casual. The service was spot on - friendly and fast. We will definitely go back to this gem.
