Shoo Loong Kan Hot Pot 小龙坎火锅 is a Chinese restaurant located at 400 N Greenville Ave #16, Richardson, TX 75081, USA. You can contact them at (214) 888-3818 or +1 214-888-3818. Specializing in hot pot cuisine, this restaurant offers a unique and interactive dining experience.
The environment at Shoo Loong Kan is described as lively and often crowded, contributing to a fun atmosphere. The restaurant features spacious tables, including a round table that can accommodate 8-10 people, making it an ideal choice for group dinners and family gatherings.
Service at Shoo Loong Kan is generally well-regarded, with servers attentive to customer needs. One reviewer mentioned a server offering to adjust the spiciness of a soup base by removing chili peppers. A key feature of the dining experience is the option to choose 2 or 3 different soup bases for under $20, allowing for a variety of flavors at the table. Popular soup bases include tomato, pork bone, mushroom, and a spicy option, as well as Tom Yum.
The quality of ingredients is a highlight, with the beef being described as top-notch—thicker and more tender compared to other hot pot places. Other notable dishes include the house special beef tripe, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside pork feet, and soft and tender crystal beef. While one reviewer found the filet fish to have a slightly strong smell, the Saba fish was noted as sweet and flavorful.
While the overall cost might be slightly higher than some other hot pot spots, customers generally feel that the quality of food and the overall experience justify the price. For a group of six, the total bill was around $260 before tip. A notable service feature is that they do not automatically add a tip for larger groups. To conclude the meal, complimentary ice cream is offered, with the strawberry flavor being highly recommended.
Although no specific promotional information is currently available, the positive reviews suggest that the value lies in the quality of the food, the variety of soup bases, the lively atmosphere, and the accommodating service for both small and large groups. Many reviewers express their intention to return to explore more of the menu, including items like fried rice and other sides.

Customer Reviews
This is my new favorite hot pot restaurant. I came here twice. First time was when it was during soft opening. Service was always great, but I was disappointed with the availability of the dishes. When I came back the second time, most of the dishes were available. My favorite soup base is tomato, pork bone, mushroom, and the spicy soup base. I can’t handle too spicy, but I love it with my meat. So I order the least spicy level. Honestly, it was still spicy for me, and the server asked me if it was too much, then he offered to scoop out all the chili pepper, it made it a lot better for me. The service was just right, server are there just when you need them. There are so many dishes that I would eat them over and over again. House special beef tripe is the best one I have tried so far. Pork feet is crispy outside but tender inside. Crystal beef is soft and tender, and many more. This place is beyond my expectations. I will definitely come back.
I recently visited Shoo Loong Kan in Dallas and had an amazing hotpot experience! The prices are great, especially considering you can choose either 2 or 3 different soups for just under $20. The beef here is top-notch—thicker and more tender than other hotpot places I've been to. The vibe is lively and the restaurant gets crowded, which just adds to the fun atmosphere. They also have spacious tables, with a round table for 8-10 people, making it perfect for group dinners. We tried the Tom Yum, Pork, and Mushroom soups, all of which were delicious. The filet fish had a slightly strong smell, but the Saba fish was sweet and flavorful. I wasn't a fan of the plum juice, as it had a smoky taste, but my boyfriend loved it. The meal was a little more expensive than other hotpot spots, but the quality and experience make it totally worth it. For 6 people, our total was around $260, including tax but before tip. The best part? They don't automatically add a tip for larger groups, which is a nice touch. To top it off, they offer free ice cream at the end—definitely recommend trying the strawberry flavor! There’s still so much more to try, like their fried rice and other sides, so I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!
The overall experience here was average. I'm probably unlikely to return, but it's a good place to try at least once. One notable aspect was the additional charge of $2.99 per person for access to the limited sauce bar. Considering the price point for the meat, the decision to implement a charge for sauce feels excessive, especially when we only had one sauce bowl each and did not want to utilize it multiple times. They didn't even have ponzu sauce! I would recommend the pork bone broth, but nothing was really memorable.
I rarely write reviews, but our initial dining experience at this hot pot establishment exceeded expectations. The cuisine was exceptional, the ambiance refined and clean, including the restrooms, which impressed me greatly. Service was attentive, with staff promptly addressing our needs and demonstrating kindness, such as providing new chopsticks when my daughter dropped hers on the floor and offering chocolates to my kids from the treat bowl. There’s this male staff who even offered this bag of candy to my kids and asked them to choose the chocolate that they like. I hope they maintain this level of quality and service.
We were really excited about this newest hotpot place in town, so we walked in the first weekend it opened. Though it showed as fully booked online, when we got there around 12pm there were still a lot of tables available for walk-ins. However, we were told the kitchen and wait staff were still preparing for opening so we’ll need to wait for 20-30 minutes (which turned out to be more like 45). The staff said it was still soft opening so everything was still a bit slow, and we can feel that… The food was delicious, but it took a while for all the ingredients to arrive. We can see our waiter trying so hard to cover all the tables’ needs but it was just too much for one person (in my opinion). They also sent us some moon cake on the house as it’s the weekend before mid autumn festival, which is a great addition to the meal. I wish they have sorted out the kitchen and wait staff for official opening! Food was great, the Mercedes-Benz pot was a lot of fun with three different broths. We loved the spice broth most, very authentic. The sauce bar also has several appetizers and some interesting fruits. After you finish the meal, they offered ice cream which also always a nice combo with hotpot. I think we would be coming back, hopefully we’ll see much smoother operations then!
