ShiMiaoDao Yunnan Rice Noodle 十秒到云南过桥米线

This place was a place that I visited as a child. Coming back though, it did not disappoint in food, service, and atmosphere. The dishes were amazing and felt really interactive while being surprisingly super hot, the staff was kind and understanding, and the murals and paintings in the menus and restaurants itself added a really nice touch to the place. Come here if you want an amazing time with cheap but delicious food. 10/10

Was dragged here by friends insisting that I must try what 'authentic' Chinese food tastes like. And it did not disappoint! A very homely and quaint shop around the corner in Chinatown. I got the Veg tofu rice noodles with tomato soup and it was absolutely delicious. The dish arrived boiling hot, and you're supposed to add your noodles and the side dishes to it and let them cook for bit before eating. I did burn my tongue throughout the experience but that did not stop me from scarfing my food down. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting chinatown.

ordered a mushroom sliced beef set to share and garlic wings, which is the best for me in this gallery—garlicky at best and perfectly crispy!! 👏

Was randomly walking around Chinatown looking for a place to eat and ran into a friend who recommended this restaurant. Didn’t have any expectations. Pleasantly surprised by how good the soup noodle dish was. I got the hot and sour with beef rice noodle. Waitress also showed me how to eat it and orchestrated my soup dish for me. The broth hit me out of nowhere, a flavor profile I hadn’t come across in a long time. It was light and slurpable with complex flavors keeping you coming back for more. It was delicate and complex at the same time. The garlic chicken dish was also good. Overall a very good experience and I would come back. The prices were reasonable and I paid in cash because, you know it’s chinatown and they love cash payments. I’m fine with that as long as the prices are affordable.

The rice noodle is very authentic, good in color, flavor and taste. Concerning food itself, I would not deny giving a five star. However, I also agree with other reviewers in terms of tipping. Yes, it is an American tradition to do so (not an oriental culture), but please try to let customers pay it happily, rather than forcing or embarrassing them. Take it seriously. That’s very important.
