About Shi Miao Dao

Shi Miao Dao, located at 5 Brook St, Quincy, MA 02170, USA, is a Chinese restaurant specializing in soups and noodles. As a Chinese restaurant, Shi Miao Dao focuses on providing flavorful and quickly served dishes, as suggested by its name which implies a "10-second delivery" due to the preparatory work done in advance.

Customer reviews consistently praise the soups for their rich and satisfying flavors, and the noodles are also highlighted as delicious. In addition to their signature soups and noodles, Shi Miao Dao offers side dishes such as fried dumplings and crispy fried chicken, which have been described as "pretty good." The service is noted to be very friendly, contributing to a positive dining experience.

A practical feature for customers is the takeout service. When ordering takeout, diners can expect the noodles and most toppings to be packaged separately in trays within one container, which helps maintain the quality and integrity of the dish until it is ready to be enjoyed.

However, there are a couple of points to consider. The restaurant itself is described as very small with a limited number of tables, which can lead to waiting times for seating, especially during busy periods. Additionally, parking in the area around the restaurant is reported to be notoriously difficult. On a more positive note regarding location, Shi Miao Dao is situated behind Wollaston station, which might be convenient for those using public transportation.

In summary, Shi Miao Dao is a Chinese restaurant in Quincy, MA, renowned for its flavorful soups and delicious noodles, complemented by friendly service and quick preparation. While the interior is small and parking can be challenging, its convenient location near Wollaston station and the quality of its core offerings make it a noteworthy option for those seeking a satisfying and efficient meal.

Soups here are very good and flavorful. The service is quick (implied by the name 10 second delivery) because the prep is done in advance. If you get takeout, expect noodles and most toppings to be packaged separately as trays to one container. Parking can be found on the side road. It's located behind Wollaston station.

Service is very friendly here and the noodles are delicious! The soup is flavorful! We also ordered fried dumplings and crispy fried chicken side dishes and they were pretty good. Only complaint is that it’s very small inside and there aren’t a lot of tables. We had to wait a while to get one. Also, parking in this area is notoriously difficult.

First time eating here and liked the food. The noodle tasted very freshly made. The soup was very flavorful. The service was good. An order was wrong but the server quickly fixed it without hassle. The place is very clean. Plenty of street parking but can get crowded. The crispy wings were delicious. Will come again.

What a fun experience! My friend and I wanted to try out their noodles and we were not disappointed! She and I both ordered the Szechuan Mala spicy rice noodles. She got the one with lamb and I got the one with the sliced beef. The noodles, protein, and accoutrements came out on a tray. And you basically dump everything into your bowl of boiling broth. The broth itself was very flavorful and just the right amount of spicyness. My friend wanted a less spicy broth and the chefs were able to do that for her. Service was friendly and our food came out in no time! It is a very small restaurant - no more than 7 tables. I would imagine that there would be a line on weekends. We went on a Tuesday as soon as they opened at 11am. By the time we left an hour later, they were pretty much full. I would definitely go back and try something else!
