About Shi Li Xiang

Shi Li Xiang is a Chinese restaurant situated at 135-32 40th Rd in Flushing, New York City. As a local establishment within the diverse culinary landscape of Flushing, it aims to offer a taste of Chinese cuisine to the community. Patrons can reach the restaurant at the phone number (516) 667-3316 or the mobile number +1 516-667-3316.

Online platforms, such as Google Maps, often provide visual representations of a restaurant's dishes and interior, which may give potential customers an initial impression of Shi Li Xiang's offerings and ambiance. These images can showcase the variety of food available and the general setting of the dining area.

However, it's important for prospective diners to consider a range of opinions when evaluating a restaurant. Online reviews can offer insights into the experiences of previous customers, covering aspects such as food quality, service efficiency, and the overall atmosphere of the establishment.

Based on some of the feedback available online, it appears that some customers have had significantly negative experiences at Shi Li Xiang. One review describes the food as "disgusting," specifically mentioning the presence of what appeared to be white hair on chicken and a soup that was described as smelling and tasting like "sewer." This reviewer also expressed concerns about food safety and cleanliness, stating that the plates appeared oily and unclean.

Furthermore, this same review highlighted issues beyond just the food. It mentioned an environment where smoking was occurring at another table while customers were eating, and an alleged argument between the owner and another customer. The reviewer also pointed out a mandatory 18 percent tip, regardless of the perceived quality of service.

Another review echoed concerns about the food, labeling it as "terrible" and the restaurant as "very dirty." This customer reported experiencing food poisoning symptoms, including vomiting, diarrhea, and lingering fatigue and headache, two days after eating at Shi Li Xiang.

It is crucial for individuals considering dining at Shi Li Xiang to take these reviews into account. While online pictures might present a certain image, the firsthand accounts from customers suggest potential issues with food quality, hygiene, service, and the overall dining environment.

As a platform featuring Chinese Restaurants in the local area, it is our aim to provide an objective overview based on the information available. In the case of Shi Li Xiang, the publicly accessible reviews raise serious concerns that potential customers should be aware of. These concerns span across food quality and safety, cleanliness of the establishment, the service provided, and the general atmosphere, which some reviewers found unpleasant due to issues like smoking and arguments.

When choosing a Chinese restaurant, local users often prioritize factors such as the authenticity and taste of the cuisine, the cleanliness and comfort of the dining environment, the attentiveness and professionalism of the service staff, and the overall value for money. Based on the available feedback, Shi Li Xiang appears to fall short in several of these critical areas for some patrons.

Prospective customers are advised to weigh the visual information available against the experiences shared by other diners. While every individual's experience can vary, a pattern of negative feedback, particularly concerning food safety and hygiene, warrants careful consideration.

It is also worth noting that restaurants can evolve, and customer experiences can change over time. However, the specific and strong criticisms found in the reviews regarding fundamental aspects like food quality and cleanliness should not be ignored. For local users seeking a positive and reliable Chinese dining experience in Flushing, it may be prudent to explore other options with more consistently favorable reviews.

This introduction aims to provide a detailed and objective summary of Shi Li Xiang based on the information available online, specifically focusing on customer reviews. The intention is to equip local users with the necessary information to make informed decisions when choosing a Chinese restaurant in their area. While the restaurant may present itself visually in a certain way, the experiences of past customers, as reflected in their reviews, paint a concerning picture that potential diners should be aware of.

Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to dine at Shi Li Xiang rests with the individual. However, given the serious nature of the complaints regarding food quality, cleanliness, and the overall dining environment, it is recommended that potential customers proceed with caution and consider alternative Chinese restaurants in the Flushing area that have received more positive and consistent feedback.

THE FOOD IS DISGUSTING! Ordered chicken at this restaurant and you could see some white hair attached to each piece. Ordered some soup they recommend and it tastes and smells like from sewer from your kitchen. I’m glad that this restaurant has redefine the meaning of worst food. While we were eating the other table is smoking and the owner was fighting with another customer for some reason. The plates are shiny, because they don’t even care to clean the oil on top of them. And they do a mandatory 18 percent tips no matter if you like their service or not. It really seems like a legit restaurant from pictures of dishes you see from Google map. If you would risk your life for food safety problems, and you like the smell of smoking, sound of arguing and fighting, and waste your money, then go!! One star is a over-compliment for this restaurant.
