About Sheeba Restaurant - West Dearborn

Sheeba Restaurant - West Dearborn, located at 22048 Michigan Ave, Dearborn, MI 48124, USA, offers a unique dining experience that goes beyond traditional Chinese cuisine, specializing in Yemeni food. They can be contacted at phone number (313) 499-9889 or mobile phone +1 313-499-9889.

Upon entering through what seems to be the main entrance at the back, guests are greeted by a culturally rich environment featuring dim lighting, murals, and cultural art. The restaurant boasts a clean and spacious walkway leading to the main hall. To the right, there is a large and clean coffee bistro bar area where the aroma of fresh coffee and tea fills the air as drinks are prepared.

A notable feature highlighted by a reviewer is the welcoming service, where guests are greeted at the server's station and offered their choice of seating. The overall decor and seating are described as clean, organized, and visually appealing, contributing to a pleasant ambiance.

The menu at Sheeba Restaurant features Yemeni cuisine, offering dishes that may be new to some diners. One reviewer highly praised the appetizers, particularly the "velvety and smooth" hummus and the fresh bread baked over a fire, noting the distinct taste and aroma. The main courses were described as lightly seasoned yet rich in natural flavors, with portions large enough to take leftovers home.

The service at Sheeba Restaurant appears to be exceptional, with one reviewer emphasizing the attentiveness of the staff, including the provision of warm, damp towels after the meal. This level of care reportedly makes each customer feel valued. For a party of two, including two appetizers, three main courses, tea, and fresh pomegranate juice, the bill was just over $90, which was considered reasonable for the overall experience.

However, another recent visitor found the prices to be on the higher side, potentially due to the restaurant's location. This reviewer felt that the food itself was "just okay" and did not fully justify the cost, lacking a standout taste or quality, ultimately finding the experience "a bit underwhelming for the price."

In summary, Sheeba Restaurant - West Dearborn offers a culturally immersive dining experience with a focus on Yemeni cuisine and attentive service. While one reviewer found the prices high for the food quality received, another highly recommended the restaurant for its ambiance, service, and flavorful dishes, particularly the appetizers. Local users interested in trying Yemeni food and experiencing a unique atmosphere may find Sheeba Restaurant worth a visit, keeping in mind the varying opinions on pricing and food quality.

IF YOU EVER READ 1 REVIEW... PLEASE READ THIS ONE! If you go in thru the back... which I'm assuming is the main entrance, you are greeted by dim lighting, murals and cultural art, and a very clean and wide runway to the main hall. You already know you are in for a culture rich experience. To the right there is a very clean, large coffee bistro bar.... which at one point i assume was a bar. You can smell the fresh coffee and tea being made... with the steam rolling into the air above as drinks are being made. To the left, just past the bar, you are greeted by a server at the servers station and seated where YOU would like to be seated! Which is a major plus in my book. The seating, decor, and everything in-between was clean, organized and so beautiful to look at. I'm surprised i didn't come to this place sooner!. My husband and i were sat at our table and given menus. We ordered our food... might i add, things I've never tried before as im new to yemeni food. And waited very shortly to be served our appetizers. The hummus was so velvety and smooth... nothing like I've ever had before... ive given alot of reviews... but by far.... this is the one that I'm most excited to write. The bread was fresh made over an actual fire... you can see, smell and taste the difference. The main courses were so lightly seasoned, but so rich in natural flavors. We had to box up and take all the left overs home. As we finished our meals... the server comes back with damp, hot towels for us to freshen up and clean our hands after eating! WHO DOES THAT?! it felt so good to feel taken care of. They honestly make each customer feel like they are the only customer! Other businesses .... you have to start learning because you truelly have competition. Surprisingly, the bill came out to just over 90 dollars for 2 people. We had 2 appetizers and 3 mains, along with tea and fresh pomegranate juice! I think it is very reasonable for the service, food and experience! If you are thinking of trying this place out... please do!

I recently visited Sheeba. The prices were on the higher side, likely due to its downtown location and proximity to the Ford software building. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite justify the cost — it was just okay. Nothing particularly stood out in terms of taste or quality. Overall, it felt a bit underwhelming for the price.

We visited when there was Trump election convoy passing. Almost the whole staff was outside, nobody to take our order. And when they did, they missed on my request three times. Got my warm water after multiple requests. The food on the other hand was great. The meat was nice and tender. The chicken was well cooked. Went a little too much with the potatoes and carrots. The sitting area wasn't very visually pleasing, the furniture is old, torn and rusty, the floors were sticky. Will come back for food exclusively, service and ambience is kind of disappointing

Excellent food and excellent service! Our server, Alivia is always a pleasure, very helpful, and friendly. This was our 3rd time here and the manager showed us some amazing Yemin dishes that we haven’t tried before. The lamb was phenomenal and the tea is always so delicious. We love the humus and bread, it has great flavor and texture. The atmosphere is very comfortable, friendly, and inviting. Highly recommend this restaurant!! Make sure to try out their traditional Yemin food.

We ordered table for two 56$ and it was exactly the same size as single food 33$. I discussed this issue with the staff and they did nothing! So weird!! Quality of food was so good but got disappointed after they did nothing for the portion size! Wont be back to this place again!!
