Shang Hai Chinese Restaurant

UPDATE: Here I am 8 months later and this place is still fantastic. I haven't been coming here often enough! Same prices, same friendly people and heaps of great food. I just found this place and I wish I found it sooner!! Only had the sweet-and-sour chicken with fried rice and wonton soup... All was delicious. Eventually, I will probably try everything on the menu. The best part was the price of the meal and drink, under $14. It's hard to find a good sit down meal anywhere for that! This is NOT buffet style however, the food is similar to what you find in those restaurants, but better quality. No sushi, just hot meals! I shall return.

8/24/23 A Delightful Family Meal. We recently dined at Shang-Hi Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. Although we were initially skeptical since it was our first visit, the food exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is clean, and the restrooms are well-maintained—kudos to the staff and management. We tried a variety of dishes, including egg drop soup, egg rolls, General Tso’s chicken, pepper steak, and sweet and sour pork. Everyone was pleased and full with their choices. The server was nice and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed.Overall, it was a delightful meal with the family, and we look forward to returning. Highly recommended!

Restaurant was very clean and well laid out. Food was excellent served hot and fresh. Wonton soup was very good! Lunch menu more than enough options to choose from all ranging from $9 to $9.50 per plate. Service was very good even though the waitress did not speak a lot of English.

The gentleman who helped at the register was very kind and the food and portion size was amazing! I’m not from the area but I’d stop by again next time I drove through! Also appreciated the discounts available to various members of the community- it’s what stuck out to us when choosing a place to eat, and we’re always glad to support a local business rather than fast food chains.

I ordered lo mein with beef, hot and sour soup, with egg roll. The soup was excellent, one of the best hot and sour soups I've enjoyed. I will go back there, regularly, for vats of that sublime likker. The
