About Seven Grams

Welcome to Seven Grams, your local Chinese restaurant situated at 1086 Irvine Blvd in Tustin, California, USA. As a Chinese Restaurant, Seven Grams offers a selection of dishes for those seeking a Chinese meal in the area. They can be contacted at (657) 600-8212 or via mobile at +1 657-600-8212.

According to customer reviews, Seven Grams is located in a busy shopping center, offering reasonable parking. The service is generally considered quick, and the staff are noted to be nice. One customer who tried the chicken dumplings and fried rice found them to be good, and felt that the restaurant offered high value in terms of quality, quantity, experience, and price, recommending it for a good value and quick, filling meal.

However, other reviews provide more specific feedback on individual dishes. The Xiao Long Bao was described as juicy but with a meat filling that was a bit too solid and a dough wrapping that was somewhat thick. The Golden Beef Noodle Soup was noted to have noodles that did not blend well with a smooth but not very flavorful soup. The Ham Fried Rice was characterized as wet and lacking the typical "wok flavor." As for the Beef Green Onion Wrapped, the wrapping was found to be crispy and tasty, but the beef inside was cold and not fully defrosted, although the cucumber was fresh.

One reviewer summarized the pros as quick service, nice staff, and reasonable prices, while a con was that it felt very similar to another establishment (Noodle Street) and might not be worth a long wait if one occurs. If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant in Tustin that offers quick service and reasonable prices, and are interested in trying dishes like the chicken dumplings and fried rice, Seven Grams could be an option. However, it's advisable to consider the mixed reviews on specific dishes when making your choice.

I was just looking for a good restaurant in the area and stumbled (via Maps) into Seven Grams. The parking is ok, in that it is in a busy shopping center. The servers were great. We split a few items. The chicken dumplings and fried rice tasted good. The value of quality, quantity, experience, and price felt pretty high. I would definitely recommend eating here for a good value and quick meal. The portions were very filling.

Xiao Long Bao- Juicy but meat is a bit too solid and the dough wrapped is a bit thick Golden Beef Noodle Soup- Noodle doesn't really blend in with the soup. The soup itself is smooth but not much flavor. Ham Fries Rice- Rice is wet and doesn't have the "wok flavor". Beef Green Onion Wrapped: The wrapped itself is crispy and taste good but the beef is cold and does not fully defrost although the cucumber is fresh though. Pros: Service is quick and staff are nice. Price is reasonable. Cons: It's very much like Noodle street but don't really worth the long wait.

So simple but always hits the spot. They do have some curveball dishes like the noodle dish pictured which are not exactly authentic and more experimental, but everything else I’ve ordered is perfect execution. Dough is the perfect level of thickness and is clearly hand-knead because of the great supple texture. Filling is umami rich without the over-use of MSG. My personal favorite are the beef pancakes because the sauce is sweet and addictive, pancake is fresh, crispy and not overly oily, and they don’t skimp on the marinated beef, but if you are ordering something traditional you cannot go wrong. I consider them to have the best soup dumplings I’ve ever had, because all the components blend together really harmoniously. Only slight slight downside is they don’t use the traditional red vinegar which is slightly sweeter than the black ones.

Great soup dumpling shop (XLB). I honestly think their dumplings are more juicy than din tai fung. We also enjoyed their fried rice and their beef rolls were especially good. Highly recommend this spot!

Very various options of menu from cucumber salad, deep fried appetizers to noodles, dimsums. All the appetizers were great. The noodle soup was very flavorful. It's golden color broth but has some spicy pepper in it, so it has some spicy kick (which makes the bowl even better). The cold noodle with chili sauce was the main reason for my visit, but it was kind of bland after eating all the other foods.
