Semmes House of Pizza

Eight of us came in for lunch. The service was great. Even though it was lunch rush we were seated in less than 5 minutes. The drinks came not far behind. The place looks kind of like a sports bar because of all the tv monitors inside. We ordered in groups and one of the group picked up the bill for my wife and me. When the food arrived it was hot and fresh and tasty. There was mostly Italian food. The waitress came by frequently to make sure our cups were full. Several of us had to have "doggy bags" because the portions were generous. If we are in that area again durning hungry time we will probably stop there again.

I just moved to the Semmes area and have been wanting good pizza. This hit the spot after a long day of cleaning! I ordered the hot honey pepperoni and it is delicious. I look forward to eating at this restaurant again. Some other items caught my eye and I noticed a good selection of other Italian cuisine. Looking around while picking up my order, I was impressed with the atmosphere and I want to dine in soon! The staff was quick to help me and kind. Thank you for the pizza. It was great!

Ok, this is one of my all time favorite places to eat. It’s a community favorite for my side of town and I have a long history with the owners and the menu, although they don’t know it. Let’s just say some of these recipes go way back with me, too long of a story for this space. The Alfredo sauce is my favorite anywhere, hands down. Pizza is great. Fried green beans are fantastic. Calzones are tremendous, yada yada yada. It’s all good. Servers are fun and friendly, always accommodating, even when we tend to come in too close to closing time. I highly recommend Semmes House of Pizza. There’s also one in Lucedale, MS now, although I haven’t been yet. It’s called Lucedale House of Pizza. Go try it!

Food is terrible this time around. Used to this place couldn’t be touched super good food but I just ordered delivery today and it was terrible, I ordered chicken tenders and fries and only got maybe 6 fries, the wings we ordered were so tough you couldn’t chew, the calzone was dripping some type of liquid (definitely wasn’t grease)atmosphere is great and staff do a fine job but whoever is cooking maybe needs a few more lessons. Because it wasn’t just average or okay, it was disgusting! First review I have ever left on a restraint like this.

The food is amazing and large portions. You definitely get more than you pay for! The service is just as amazing. Madi was great!! Again getting more than you pay for even with the service! We will definitely be back!!!
