About See Thru Chinese Kitchen

See Thru Chinese Kitchen, located at 800 N Kedzie Ave in Chicago, has been serving the local community as a Chinese restaurant for a significant period, with at least one customer citing 10 years of consistent carry-out orders. This suggests a history and familiarity within the neighborhood.

Based on a long-term customer's review, See Thru Chinese Kitchen offers a variety of popular Chinese-American dishes. Highlights for this customer and their family include the combination fried rice, combination egg foo young, egg rolls, and chicken wings. They also enjoy specific entrees such as Kung Pao beef and orange chicken, and occasionally order soup, particularly when feeling unwell. This indicates a diverse menu catering to common Chinese food cravings.

However, another customer reported a negative experience with the Mongolian beef, stating that it was misrepresented as pepper steak with gravy. This customer, who claims to have ordered Mongolian beef from the restaurant for over 15 years, described the dish as "horrible" for the second time, leading them to discontinue their patronage. This review suggests potential inconsistencies in the preparation or quality of certain dishes.

Due to the limited information available in the provided reviews, details regarding the restaurant's environment, dine-in services (if any), and current promotional offers are not explicitly mentioned. The reviews primarily focus on the carry-out experience and the quality and consistency of specific food items.

In summary, See Thru Chinese Kitchen has a history of serving the community with carry-out Chinese cuisine, with some customers having enjoyed their offerings for many years, particularly dishes like combination fried rice, egg foo young, and various other familiar favorites. However, there is also a report of significant dissatisfaction with at least one dish, indicating potential variability in food quality. Local users may want to consider the range of experiences when deciding to order from this establishment.

Have to start this review with mentioning I’ve been ordering carry out from this restaurant for about 10years. Never fails to miss. Highlights for me & my family: combination fried rice, combination egg foo young, egg rolls, chicken wings, Kang bao beef, orange chicken & sometimes soup if I’m feeling under the weather. Will update with more pictures.

I ordered Mongolian beef but what I got was pepper steak gravy and meat passed off as the Mongolian beef. It was horrible and I have been getting Mongolian beef from them over 15 years, but this is the second time that I’ve tried it and it was horrible. I’m done.

The smoothies are good, they need to work on their cleanliness. The older lady taking orders looks scrawny and the younger one was eating on a short stool with a bucket spitting pieces of food out infront of everyone...Poor Hygiene

Would be better if they stepped up their fried rice game. Egg rolls are good. No homemade tea.. eh. And they gave the wrong order. I would double check your stuff before leaving. portions are big tho

Food is good, best smoothies ever. Customer service has gotten better because of new employees taking orders. I do NOT like when they are overwhelmed with orders, they can't multi-task. I've been turned down twice on a smoothie order that only takes 2 minutes to make. I was very disappointed
