About Seafood Bucket Cajun Style Seafood Restaurant

Seafood Bucket Cajun Style Seafood Restaurant, located at 3333 S State St, South Salt Lake, UT 84115, USA (phone: (385) 528-0518, mobile: +1 385-528-0518), offers a distinctive dining experience with a focus on Cajun-style seafood buckets and, surprisingly, also features sushi and other Asian food. While its physical location is in South Salt Lake, Utah, this introduction is for local users in Singapore to understand its unique concept and potential offerings if they encounter it on global platforms or are planning travel.

One reviewer highlighted that despite being a "fairly new business," Seafood Bucket delivers a good variety of sashimi, sushi, and other Asian food options. Notably, they mentioned it as offering the "best deal in SLC for all you can eat sushi buffet!" This suggests that a significant feature of this restaurant, alongside its Cajun seafood, is an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet, which could be a major draw for sushi enthusiasts.

The restaurant's namesake comes from its "bib and bucket seafood" offerings, a style where seafood is typically served in a bag or bucket with flavorful sauces. One local customer enthusiastically described their experience with the $15.99 seafood bucket special, which included snow crab, shrimp, potatoes, and corn, all deemed "really yummy." They experimented with mussels, finding them "alright" but a "little fishy." The "bucket flavor," which combines all available flavors, was chosen with different spice levels (spicy and medium), though the reviewer noted they tasted similar and not very spicy.

While the food and service were generally praised as "amazing for the price," one area for potential improvement mentioned was the ambiance, with a suggestion for better and louder music. The mango boba received a less favorable rating, described as "mid or below."

For local users in Singapore, Seafood Bucket Cajun Style Seafood Restaurant presents an interesting fusion of Cajun-style seafood and Asian cuisine, with a particular emphasis on an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet. If you encounter this restaurant on any international platforms, the combination of these offerings might be worth exploring. If you are traveling to the South Salt Lake area, you can look forward to a unique dining experience centered around flavorful seafood buckets and a potentially excellent value for sushi.

Willyum and I are So. Salt Lake locals and couldn’t believe we hadn’t tried this seafood joint yet! I’ve been dying to try a bib and bucket seafood place my whole life! It did not disappoint. This sounds made up, but I literally overheard one of the customers tell the waiter, “This is the best sea food I’ve ever had. Seriously man.” To which the waiter stood there awkwardly and probably said something I couldn’t hear. Beautiful human experience. Anyway, I haven’t had much sea food to compare it to, but it was good! We each got the $15.99 seafood bucket special. It was a great deal! We both got the bucket flavor which is just all the flavors combined. Willyum got spicy and I got medium. They seemed the same spice level which wasn’t very spicy. The snow crab, shrimp potatoes and corn were all really yummy. It was my first time trying mussels and they alright. A little fishy. We got the mango boba and it was mid or below. The only change I’d like to see is some good music playing! The music was so quiet. I think it would enhance the ambience. Overall the food and service were amazing for the price!

Thought this would be a nice replacement for the recently closed crab place we used to go to. Baby, I was wrong. The meat, both flavor and texture screams “old” to better explain, meat was mushy (didn’t hold firm like dungeness and king crab are supposed to) and had an after taste outside of the seasoning added. Neither of the servers we encountered spoke any English outside of the names of the menu items so communication was really difficult. The fries were delicious with their Cajun seasoning on top and the corn and potatoes were good too.

We ordered the garlic bread, garlic noodles, crab Rangoon, and 3 seafood boils. Mine had a whole dungeness crab, a pound of snow crab, and sausages. My brother got 2 lbs of snow crab. The service was awesome, everyone was very attentive and friendly. I asked for my boil to have garlic butter with the fire spicy level. My brother got 1 lb garlic butter and 1 lb cajun for his snow crab. The appetizers were good but when I started to eat my seafood, it was not spicy at all. Like. Not even a little, lol. And it was sweet!!! I didn't know garlic butter was sweetened. I found it a little weird, but this is Utah. Everything is sweet and not spicy. When I ended up trying my brother's, his way spicier and not sweet. He ordered the spice level lower than mine. They must have accidentally given me the wrong sauce. Anyways, the crab doesn't seem all that fresh, the legs would break off in the shell when trying to pull it out. I liked the food though, can't expect the freshest seafood in a landlocked state. The prices are good and I absolutely love that they offer whole dungeness crab. I feel like the sauce is not as salty as other seafood boil locations too, which is awesome.

***SCAM*** The place does and will rip you off. The “King Crab” is smaller than snow crab. A 1/2 lb of snow crab is 4 legs! For the baby king crab they charged me $30 per leg. They stating it’s $60 a pound and brought two legs calling each leg 1/2 lb 🤯. Look at the pictures, it’s very obvious those legs are nowhere near a half pound each. This terrible boil comes with a 1/2 piece of mushy corn, one potato, and two tiny crab legs. Bon appétit! See the pix and save your money!
