About Seafood and more

Welcome to an introduction of Seafood and More, a Chinese restaurant located at 1643 Gordon Hwy, Augusta, GA 30906, USA. While the name might suggest a broader menu, based on customer reviews, Seafood and More operates within the Chinese Restaurant category and has garnered attention for its food quality and affordability. The restaurant can be contacted at (706) 790-5868 or via their mobile number +1 706-790-5868. This overview aims to provide local users with a detailed perspective on what to expect from this establishment, drawing from recent customer feedback available online.

According to one reviewer, Seafood and More embodies the quintessential "Mom n' Pop" or "hole n da wall" type of eatery. This description often implies a focus on good food and reasonable prices, sometimes with a more casual or less polished service style. The reviewer stated that the restaurant delivers on this expectation, offering "great food" and "decent prices." This suggests that despite potentially being a smaller, less conventional establishment, Seafood and More prioritizes the quality of its dishes and maintains affordability, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious diners seeking flavorful Chinese cuisine.

The same reviewer described the service as "okay," indicating that while it might not be exceptional, it is likely adequate for a satisfying dining experience. They also highlighted a potential communication nuance, noting that while the staff "speak enough English," understanding them, particularly when they are calling out order numbers, might require some extra attention or clarification. This suggests that customers might need to be proactive in confirming their orders or seeking clarification if they have difficulty understanding. The reviewer still highly recommended trying Seafood and More, mentioning that they "always swing by when visiting Augusta," indicating a consistent positive experience with the food despite the potential communication challenges.

The reviewer also provided a "Heads up on the surrounding" area, mentioning that "there may be a few beggars loitering around," advising customers to "stay vigilant." This is important contextual information for potential visitors, suggesting that they should be aware of their surroundings, particularly when entering or leaving the restaurant. Despite this external factor, the reviewer concluded that "Besides that, I don't think you can go wrong with what you order on the menu here," expressing confidence in the overall quality and taste of the food offered.

Another enthusiastic customer focused on specific dishes, proclaiming that Seafood and More serves the "Best crab rangoons I’ve ever had. Soooo good !" This strong endorsement suggests that their crab rangoons are a standout item and a must-try for those who enjoy this popular appetizer. The reviewer also praised other menu items they had tried, specifically the "orange chicken and sesame chicken," describing both as "bomb," which is a colloquial term for exceptionally delicious. This indicates that Seafood and More excels in preparing these common and well-loved Chinese-American dishes.

Furthermore, this second reviewer echoed the sentiment about affordability, stating that the food is "Easy on the wallet too." This reinforces the idea that Seafood and More provides good value for its prices. Their positive experience has led them to become regular customers, ordering takeout "at least once a week," and they have declared it their "new go to !" This strong loyalty and frequent patronage are a testament to the consistently satisfying food and value they have found at Seafood and More.

Based on these reviews, Seafood and More seems to be a "Mom n' Pop" style Chinese restaurant that prioritizes food quality and affordability. While the service might be considered average and communication could occasionally present a minor hurdle, the consistently praised food, especially the crab rangoons, orange chicken, and sesame chicken, makes it a worthwhile spot to try. The decent prices further enhance its appeal. Potential customers should be mindful of the surrounding area and exercise vigilance as advised by one reviewer.

The reviews primarily focus on the food and service aspects, with limited information about the restaurant's environment or ambiance. The "hole n da wall" description might suggest a more casual and less elaborate setting, but it does not provide specific details about the decor or atmosphere. It is likely that the focus is more on the quality of the food rather than the aesthetics of the dining space.

In terms of services, the mention of takeout by a regular customer indicates that this option is available. The initial reviewer also suggests that dine-in is possible, as they refer to it as a "spot" one can "swing by." However, the extent of their services, such as delivery options or catering, is not mentioned in the provided text.

Features of Seafood and More appear to include its consistently great-tasting food, particularly the crab rangoons, orange chicken, and sesame chicken, offered at decent and affordable prices. The friendly, albeit potentially challenging to understand at times, staff also seem to be a characteristic of the establishment. Its role as a local favorite, evidenced by repeat customers, further highlights its appeal within the Augusta community.

No promotional information, discounts, or special offers are mentioned in the provided reviews. Customers interested in such details would need to contact the restaurant directly.

In conclusion, Seafood and More in Augusta, GA, presents itself as a "Mom n' Pop" Chinese restaurant that delivers on its promise of great food at decent prices. Standout dishes like the crab rangoons, orange chicken, and sesame chicken have garnered high praise from customers, leading to repeat business. While the service might be just "okay" and communication can occasionally be a bit challenging, the overall consensus points to a satisfying culinary experience. Local users looking for delicious and affordable Chinese food in a no-frills setting should consider giving Seafood and More a try. However, they should also be aware of the potential communication nuances and the advice to be vigilant of the surrounding area. Despite these minor caveats, the consistently positive feedback regarding the food suggests that Seafood and More is a hidden gem worth discovering in Augusta.

Exactly what you'd expect from the "Mom n' Pop" hole n da wall spots, great food, decent prices, okay service. I highly recommend trying as I always swing by when visiting Augusta. They speak enough English but you can't tell if they understand you and you may not understand them especially when they calling order numbers so you may have to check with them. Heads up on the surrounding as there may be a few beggars loitering around so stay vigilant. Besides that, I don't think you can go wrong with what you order on the menu here.

The kids decide they wanted Chinese rice and egg rolls and chicken wings so this was the best spot for me I love this place I stay about 30-40 minutes away but I roll all the way here to get this rice because they have the best rice I never eat the chicken wings but my kids love them thank you for a great meal I really didn't want to cook I had three essays to do in school and this worker helped me out the door open both doors for me because I had so much food. I even called my son while I was there and he made a order he loved this place also

Great food at great prices. My personal favorite is the C9 and the egg drop soup! 👌However, the complaints about service are not that far-fetched. This place is off of Gordon highway. if you are a citizen of Augusta, then you know certain parts of Gordon Highway is in the trenches. ..this place unfortunately is located in the trenches. so a lot of the people that they get in there have attitudes, may or may not be paying customers, maybe loitering, etc. It takes grit to run a business out this way. I have personally never been mistreated, and I am black. But that could be God’s favor on my life..

It's a typical Chinese food restaurant with some additional items (multiple flavored wing options, gizzards, fried fish, etc). It is difficult to call in an order during peak times (lunch and dinner). The food is hot and ready in a few minutes. I don't like announcing my phone number in front of strangers to claim my order, but that is their system. Only once did I have food that didn't taste fresh. Watch out for multiple huge potholes in their parking lot.
