Savoy Kitchen provides both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements, catering to different preferences and group sizes. Whether you prefer the cozy ambiance inside or the fresh air outside, you can find a comfortable spot to enjoy your meal. The restaurant aims to offer a relaxed dining experience for individuals and families alike.
Based on customer feedback, Savoy Kitchen is known for its efficient service. Diners have noted that the servers are attentive and the food is brought out promptly, making it a suitable option for those looking for a quick yet satisfying meal. The staff strives to provide a pleasant and helpful experience for all guests.
The menu at Savoy Kitchen features a selection of dishes, with some receiving particular attention in customer reviews. One of the mentioned specialties is the Hainan Chicken with rice and salad. While one reviewer found the chicken to be satisfactory, they expressed a desire for more impactful sauces. This suggests that while the dish is a popular choice, individual palates may vary regarding the accompanying flavors. Another appetizer highlighted was the shrimp rolls, described as alright but small in portion size.
Interestingly, Savoy Kitchen also offers dishes beyond traditional Chinese cuisine. One customer enthusiastically reviewed the seafood linguini in Alfredo sauce, praising its taste. This indicates a willingness to cater to a broader range of culinary preferences. The same reviewer also expressed interest in trying the escargot dish on a future visit, suggesting that Savoy Kitchen's menu includes some unexpected and potentially delightful options.
For those planning to visit Savoy Kitchen, parking is available both on the street and in a designated parking lot located across the street. The restaurant's name, Savoy Kitchen, is visibly displayed in red on a white building, making it easier to locate. However, one reviewer cautioned about the crosswalk across the main street, advising pedestrians to exercise caution due to potentially inattentive drivers. It is recommended to be mindful of traffic when crossing the street to access the parking lot.
Savoy Kitchen is reachable by phone at (626) 308-9535 or via mobile phone at +1 626-308-9535. These contact numbers can be used for inquiries, reservations (if applicable), or placing takeout orders. This accessibility ensures that customers can easily connect with the restaurant for their dining needs.
In summary, Savoy Kitchen in Alhambra presents itself as a Chinese restaurant offering a diverse menu that extends beyond traditional Chinese fare. With both indoor and outdoor seating, prompt service, and accessible parking, it aims to provide a convenient dining experience for local patrons. While some dishes like the Hainan Chicken and shrimp rolls have received mixed reviews regarding their specific elements, the positive feedback on dishes like the seafood linguini suggests a potential for satisfying a variety of tastes. For those in the Alhambra area seeking a Chinese restaurant with additional culinary surprises, Savoy Kitchen is worth considering.

Customer Reviews
This place is small. You can eat indoors or outdoors. I tried their hainan chicken with rice and salad. The white chicken was okay. The sauces didn't do anything for me; I was expecting better. The shrimp rolls were alright but very small. The servers were nice. They brought out the food fast. You can park on the street or park in their designated parking lot, which is across the street from the restaurant. You should see their restaurant name in red on the white building. My friend parked on the other side of the main street. Crossing at that crosswalk can be dangerous because the drivers don't pay attention.
Very nice discovery. I had the seafood linguini in Alfredo sauce, and it was really good. I asked for parmesan cheese, and they brought spicy stuff, but other than that, all good. I'll go back for the escargot dish.
Parking can be difficult. Place is very small and does not seat a lot of people indoors. The servers are not rude but not friendly -- just neutral. The Hainan chicken itself was okay. The white meat is dry, so definitely pay the $1 to upgrade to dark meat. Price is fine: about $14 for dark meat chicken and rice. The sauces are very good; I love the ginger one, and their sour spicy sauce is pretty good too. The soy sauce is fine. The vegetable curry felt like a better overall deal for about $12. The curry was a little too spicy (they didn't ask how spicy), but flavor was fine. Overall it was just kind of okay.
Ordered the Hainan Chicken Rice and Curry Seafood. The chicken is pretty alright, good portion and taste. But the rice seems to be more wet than it needs to be. The rice does have a chicken fragrance and taste to it, but I think it could have cooked longer to let some moisture off. The curry seafood is pretty good too with a lot of chunks of seafood like scallops and shrimp. You have the choice of a rice or pasta on the side. Either way, you should mix it and let it sit for a bit with the curry in order for the rice/pasta to soak some of the curry flavor in. Location was moderately busy for a weekday dinner, seating outside is enough and pleasant on a warm day. There is a parking lot across the street or you can street park but beware of the time limit.
This restaurant isn’t made extraordinarily. Although I have to say that the lemon tea was good, the pasta sauce was a bit sour. Service attitude was also normal, and less seats. Most of the seats are outside. Also, the food comes really fast, so recommended if you just want to grab a quick meal in Alhambra. By the way, some waiters/waitresses could speak Mandaron or Cantonese. Adding a fun fact: Hainan Chicken Rice is from Singapore, not Hainan, China.
