Savory Thai Restaurant

I had never eaten here before but saw it while running errands and thought i'd give it a try. I ordered chicken pad thai to-go and when I opened it at home, immediately thought they gave me the wrong order. I've never seen pad thai look like this before, and it doesn't taste like pad thai either. It's bright red and the glass noodles are thinner than spaghetti. It doesn't taste bad, it just has way too much of some kind of chili paste that I wasn't hoping for. The noodles were coated with a very thick amount of the paste and it was hard to taste anything else. However, the chicken was tender and delicious, best chicken I've had in a pad thai before. The server was extremely kind and helpful when I picked it up too. I'm not sure if this is a more authentic version of pad thai but it's unfortunately not at all what I wanted and for $18 I was very sad I didn't get the pad thai I'm used to. I may return but definitely not for the pad thai

I had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was bursting with authentic Thai flavors. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was so welcoming. Definitely the best Thai food in San Diego! Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes. Highly recommend!”

Review Update: Less than 24 hours I was contacted by Savory Thai Restaurant Manager acknowledged their mistake, apologized and offered immediate resolution. On September 20th, manager issued full refund and offered one free Noodles/Rice dish item. Normally, I would not return to a restaurant after unpleasant experience. Due to how the management responded swiftly and previous pleasant experience. I have not visit their restaurant. On 09/18/24, I ordered Pan Woon glass noodles, received undercooked noodles and 4 pieces of tofu. I requested condiments, napkins, cutlery with order online and received nothing. I had to supplied my own soy sauce, which did not make the food taste better. Courteous staff and quick with take out orders. First order was fresh and delightful taste. Second order pan see noodles were stuck together and taste was decent. Today, is my third and final order was disappointing.

Delicious, Fresh, Healthy!!! We are So happy We decided to try Savory Thai. Delicious fresh and clean food. I had the Panang Curry with Chicken and fried Tofu amazing flavor and portion. The Shrimp Spring Rolls tasted freshly made with delicious peanut sauce. I also had the chicken mixed vegetables with. Hot Sake and 2 beers all under $70. The Service was very attentive very clean with an authentic looking environment, Zen music playing in the background. Just an overall nice lunch experience with very respectful service

A real hidden gem. For those of you that remember the Chinese place that used to be here, it is nothing like that. (The owner didn't just change foods, it's an entirely new group.) The food is excellent in every facet. Complex, tasty, authentic, and fresh. The ambiance is relaxing and unique. They use dividers and mirrors expertly to make the small space feel intimate but not crampt. Service is timely and professional. Make sure to order all the food you intend to (dessert included) when they first come through for everyone's convenience though.
