Satkar Indian Cuisine

We visisted Saktar on two weekends ago, on a Saturday night. Thje ambience is intimate, quiet and clean. We ordered a Chaat appetizer and Garlic Naan, depicted below, which were both very tasty. I then ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh, whose meat was wonderfully tender and full of flavor. My wife ordered the Baigan Bartha - fire-roasted eggplant mashed and mixed with spices - and savored every bite. Our server was excellent, tactfully asking what spice level we preferred, answering all queries and providing expeditious non-intrusive service. Even though Tampa is not lacking in quality Indian Restaurants, I recommend Saktar for the quality of its food, for its service and for its comfortable atmosphere.

Update: I'm still eating here! Still delicious. The Thali meal with the pickle is soooooo refreshing! Good portions. Affordable. It's great hot or cold. Garlic nann was suggested and it was well received. Thank you!🤗 Update: this place is always great!!! The staff is friendly and great at explaining things😃 I continue to order from here and am pleased each time! Very good! I usually get the ck madas but have tried many different dishes and have enjoyed many! The naam bread has always tasted very fresh and the dishes are aromatic and flavorful. Update: i have visited here a few more times this year. Still consistent and flavorful! The milky-cream sauce has been thick every time. Portions are affordable, food is fresh, staff is very friendly and attentive.

Always have a great experience here their chicken madras is one of my favorite dishes on the planet. The only thing I might say is that the menu is quite extensive and can be kind of intimidating when you first go in. Just ask the staff are always more then happy to help. Always feel welcome there.

Excellent food! Great, friendly staff. My wife has traveled the world and come to love Indian cuisine. She's always been afraid to take us for dear that it would be a bad experience and it would not introduce us to singing she loved. This place nailed the aromas and flavors she remembered from trips to India and London. From the Chicken 65 appetizer to the Ginger Chicken, Chicken Jalfrezi and the Tandoori Mixed platter to the Rose ice cream for dessert... Everything was amazing.
