Sangeetha veg restaurant is a very nostalgic experience for me since I used to be a regular at their first Chennai location in nungambakkam from 1999/2000. I visited on a Sunday around 2pm for lunch with a friend and to our surprise it wasn't full and had plenty of tables. We ordered the south Indian combo and coffee. The food was of good quality , the dosa and vada were really well made and tasty. The sambar was good but not the same taste as I am used to and the three chutneys weren't as tasty too. The pongal and idly were not as expected but I m assume its because we ordered it during lunch time , hoping it's more tasty in the mornings. It's definitely a good choice for south Indian veg food but given the competition around , there is definitely room to improve.

First time entering this place and I love this restaurant brand than others in India. And looks like they keep up the same pace here in US. Recently launched and the food quality is so good for the regular Indian items. Indo-Chinese there needs to be a little improvement but the taste is good. I loved the barota and kuruma as well as the ghee podi idly. Also the medhu vada was one of the best in town. All other restaurants have degraded the taste. I hope the quality stays the same in the coming years as that’s most important if you want people to come back.

We have liked the mixed appetizer , lassi , Punjabi thali and business thali. In the Punjabi thali the dals could have been little more better. Other than the food was amazing. The manager came to our table and personally explained the winter Tuesday biryani nights and Friday chat and dosa nights.

Sangeetha restaurant use to be one of our favorite South Indian restaurant but yesterday it was very disappointing. They reduced the variety of dosas and had very limited menu. I ordered Athangudi Rava and the dosa was not properly made. It was only crumbs and pieces inside. We also ordered paneer manchurian but it was also not good. Hope the taste and dosa varieties come back again

One of the better South Indian restaurants I've tried in the US! I recognized this brand having been to a Sangeetha in Chennai more than a decade ago - and wanted to try it out ever since it opened. The dosas were very tasty and crisp, and the idlis were soft. We liked the medu vada the best - it was light, not dense, and crispy. The filter coffee was slightly burned for our taste, but was still very good compared to other places that serve filter coffee. Highly recommend and we'll be back to try their thalis.
