One group who visited based on a social media recommendation "really enjoyed the food." They ordered the "duck for two, coconut shrimp with mango sauce, and a spicy beef dish," which they found to be "more than enough food for the three of us" with leftovers for two lunches. While the reviewer enjoyed it, their "Chinese husband thought it was good, but did not taste as authentic as it could be." The reviewer also felt the duck was "similar to take out food rather than dine in Peking duck I’ve had before" and was not a fan of the "thin pancakes that came with the duck," preferring "more of a fluffy bun like pancakes." However, they did find "The duck was juicy and flavorful" and the "Service was great," concluding they "will overall be back!"
Another customer who came for lunch experienced a "very short" wait and used a "Yelp waitlist w/ their iPad" to put their name down. They ordered "Peking duck w/ buns (choice of pancake or buns) ($52)," "beef chow fun ($16)," and "sautéed snow pea leaves ($16)." They found "The Peking duck was delicious, the skin was so crispy and everything about it was just perfect." They also "really liked the beef chow fun" and noted that "Their plates are perfect for sharing." While they found "The vegetables were quite good too," they were "just a little too salty for my taste" but stated, "I would absolutely come back if I were in the area again."
Regarding service, one reviewer found it "unremarkable," stating, "They gave us what we needed but it was nothing above and beyond, which is OK." They did appreciate that "They have call buttons on the tables and came almost instantly when they were alerted!"

We came here on a recommendation from social media. I really enjoyed the food. We had the duck for two, coconut shrimp with mango sauce, and a spicy beef dish. This was more than enough food for the three of us that went out, and there was enough for two lunches the follow day. My Chinese husband thought it was good, but did not taste as authentic as it could be. I did feel like it was similar to take out food rather than dine in Peking duck I’ve had before. I was not a fan of the thin pancakes that came with the duck as I felt like they tasted more like a wrap. I like more of a fluffy bun like pancakes. The duck was juicy and flavorful. Service was great, and we will overall be back!
Came for lunch and the wait was very short! We put our names on the Yelp waitlist w/ their iPad. We ordered: • Peking duck w/ buns (choice of pancake or buns) ($52) • beef chow fun ($16) • sautéed snow pea leaves ($16) The Peking duck was delicious, the skin was so crispy and everything about it was just perfect. I also really liked the beef chow fun. Their plates are perfect for sharing. The vegetables were quite good too, just a little too salty for my taste. I would absolutely come back if I were in the area again. Service was unremarkable. They gave us what we needed but it was nothing above and beyond, which is OK. They have call buttons on the tables and came almost instantly when they were alerted!
Came to try Sang kee recently and absolutely loved it, my sister and I have been here twice within the past week or so. The atmosphere is friendly and service is great. Each dish we tried was absolutely delicious. Peking duck is a must try. The duck is cooked to perfection and has fantastic flavor. We also enjoyed the general tso’s tofu, Dan Dan noodles, and edamame dumplings. Everything was fantastic. This is one of my favorite spots to get a good dinner. Would recommend to anyone interested and will definitely be returning!
If there’s one thing you absolutely must try, it’s the Peking Duck! Hands down, it’s the best duck I’ve ever had. The meat is incredibly juicy and tender, complemented by a slightly sweet sauce that’s simply divine. We had the chance to try it at both locations—the one in Chinatown and the one at Reading Terminal Market—and it did not disappoint. If I ever return to Philly, this will be the first thing I eat.
I spent 3 nights in Philadelphia in October 2024. This was the least expensive dinner I had and it was far and above the best! I had the Spicy Peppercorn Chicken with Peanuts and the XO Dry Sautéed String Beans with Minced Pork. Excellent! The peppercorn chicken was indeed spicy had just above the right amount of heat for me. And I finished it. I loved it. The green beans were super fresh and prepared to perfection and oh so flavorful. I wish we would have visited Sang Kee Peking Duck House the first night, we would have eaten here for every meal. Service was very friendly, appropriately attentive and professional. I can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu. Highly recommended! I have returned 3 additional times now on my last two visits to Philadelphia in February/March 2025. Each experience was delicious, consistent to the previous visits and service has been fast, friendly appropriately attentive and professional every time. I'm still stuck on the Sichuan Peppercorn Chicken with Peanuts, but also tried the Sichuan Style Beef with Peppers and the DanDan noodles on my last visit. It will be tough to decide which one repeat next or if I will try a new dish.
