About Sang Kee Asian Bistro

Located at 339 Lancaster Ave # 6, Wynnewood, PA 19096, USA, Sang Kee Asian Bistro is part of a restaurant group with other locations. This particular establishment offers a wide variety of Asian cuisine, with a focus on Chinese dishes. Based on recent customer reviews, the experience appears to be somewhat varied.

One customer, familiar with other Sang Kee locations, visited this Wynnewood branch for lunch. They noted that prices had increased. They ordered the house noodle soup and wontons in chili oil. The wontons were described as "really tasty" with a "hot, but not overwhelmingly so" spicy sauce, although the serving of 10 for $12 was considered "slightly steep" due to their small size. The house noodle soup contained roast pork, chicken, shrimp, shrimp dumplings, bok choy, carrots, snap peas, mushrooms, and egg noodles, and was generally considered "good," though the customer felt the shrimp dumplings were smaller and less "stuffed" than in the past.

The service at Sang Kee Asian Bistro was highlighted as "really great and attentive" by one reviewer. The menu is noted to have "a lot of options," suggesting a diverse selection of dishes beyond noodles and dumplings.

However, another customer who had visited numerous Sang Kee locations reported being "the least impressed with the food here," finding the flavor to be the "weakest" compared to other branches. While they found the "service and ambiance was fine," they expected better than average quality given the restaurant's reputation and price point. This customer indicated a possibility of trying the restaurant again in the future.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available online for Sang Kee Asian Bistro in Wynnewood. Potential customers can expect a diverse menu with attentive service, but reviews suggest a possible inconsistency in food quality compared to other locations under the same name. For local users in Singapore seeking Asian cuisine, please note that this restaurant is located in the USA. We recommend exploring local options within Singapore for a similar dining experience.

I’ve been to other Sang Kee locations and since I was in the area, I wanted to stop by for lunch. I was debating what to go with since the prices have definitely gone up a bit since I had last been to one of their restaurants. I’m a fan of their shrimp dumplings so I decided on the house noodle soup and wontons in chili oil. The wontons came out first. The good is they’re really tasty. I kept the leftover spicy sauce to use in my soup. They’re hot, but not overwhelmingly so. The wontons are a little small, so a serving of 10 for $12 felt slightly steep. The house noodle soup was good. It has quite a lot in it; the roast pork, chicken, shrimp, shrimp dumplings, bok choy, carrots, snap peas, mushrooms, and the egg noodles. Pretty close to what I remember, but I think the dumplings have gotten smaller as well. They used to be pretty stuffed with a nice chewy, “bouncy” bite. Now they’re a little more loose and not as full. Staff is really great and attentive. The menu has a lot of options and if I was with others, I’d love to have gotten some of my other old favorites.

I have been to numerous Sang Kee locations, but I was the least impressed with the food here. The service and ambiance was fine, but in terms of flavor with the food, this location was the weakest. It wasn't horrible by any means, but for the name value and price point, I'd expect it to be better than average. Maybe I'll give it another shot in the future.

Had a pleasant first time visit at this casual Asian bistro! I came in for lunch and everything came out quickly, with friendly service too. Laidback vibe. Rock shrimp tempura and fried chicken were delicious. I wish the general taos chicken was served hotter, it was almost room temperature when it came to the table so that’s the only reason for a missing star. If I was in the area again, I’d stop by and try some different things!

First time visiting this very authentic Chinese restaurant - I enjoyed the Roasted Duck Noodle Soup and the steamed/pan-fried meat dumplings. If you can't decide - get both!! Very happy with our overall service and dining experience 😀

This restaurant never disappoints. Great food. Nice service and atmosphere. The Chinese food and dimsum are so authentic. Best in the area.
