About Sam's Noodle Station

Welcome to Sam's Noodle Station, a local Chinese restaurant situated at 1281 E Valley Blvd in Alhambra, California (91801), USA. As a distinguished member of the Chinese Restaurant category, Sam's Noodle Station appears to focus on providing a variety of noodle-based dishes, catering to those seeking comforting and flavorful meals. For inquiries or to place an order, you can contact them at (626) 282-8878 or via mobile at +1 626-282-8878.

Customer reviews offer a glimpse into the dining experience at Sam's Noodle Station. One enthusiastic patron expressed consistent satisfaction, stating they "always love their beef innards noodles." This suggests that this particular dish is a specialty or a highly popular item on their menu. The reviewer further highlighted the generous portion sizes, reasonable prices, and good service, indicating that Sam's Noodle Station offers a combination of value and quality that keeps customers returning.

Another reviewer shared their initial impression after finally visiting a place they had passed by many times. Their overall assessment was "not bad," suggesting a decent and satisfactory experience. However, they noted a limitation during their visit: the chef who typically handles the wok for rice dishes was unavailable. This implies that while noodles are a primary focus, Sam's Noodle Station might also offer rice-based dishes under normal circumstances. This information could be useful for customers who prefer or are looking for rice options.

A crucial piece of information from the second review is the explicit mention that Sam's Noodle Station operates on a "CASH ONLY" basis. This is an important detail for potential customers to be aware of before visiting to ensure a smooth transaction.

Given the restaurant's name and the positive feedback regarding their "beef innards noodles," it is highly likely that noodles form the core of their menu. Chinese noodle dishes are incredibly diverse, varying in the type of noodles used (e.g., wheat, rice, egg), the broth (if served in soup), the toppings (various meats, vegetables, and sauces), and the preparation method (e.g., stir-fried, served in broth, cold). Based on the limited review information, we can infer some potential offerings:

  • Beef Innards Noodles: Clearly a signature dish, likely featuring noodles served with flavorful beef offal in a broth or sauce. The positive repetition of this dish suggests it's a must-try for many customers.
  • Other Noodle Soups: The mention of "beef innards noodles" implies the presence of noodle soups, possibly with other protein options like beef, chicken, pork, or seafood.
  • Stir-Fried Noodles (Chow Mein/Lo Mein variations): While not explicitly mentioned, these are common in Chinese restaurants, and Sam's Noodle Station might offer them with various ingredients.
  • Rice Dishes: The second review indicates that rice dishes are likely part of their menu when the designated chef is available. These could include fried rice with different proteins and vegetables, or perhaps rice served with various toppings or sauces.

The positive comments about portion sizes suggest that Sam's Noodle Station aims to provide satisfying meals that offer good value for the price. The mention of "good service" indicates that the staff is attentive and contributes to a positive dining experience.

Information about the environment of Sam's Noodle Station is not provided in the reviews. However, noodle shops are often characterized by a casual and functional setting, prioritizing efficiency and comfort for diners looking for a quick and tasty meal. The focus is typically on the food itself rather than elaborate decor. It's likely that Sam's Noodle Station offers a comfortable space for enjoying their noodle specialties.

In terms of services, as a local restaurant, Sam's Noodle Station undoubtedly offers dine-in options. Takeout is also a common service provided by such establishments, allowing customers to enjoy their meals at home. The primary feature of Sam's Noodle Station appears to be their specialization in noodle dishes, with the beef innards noodles being a standout favorite. The combination of big portions, good prices, and good service, as highlighted by a returning customer, suggests a strong value proposition. The potential availability of rice dishes (when the relevant chef is working) adds another dimension to their offerings. The crucial "CASH ONLY" policy is an important feature to note for potential visitors.

Promotional information is not included in the provided reviews. It is common for restaurants to have daily specials or lunch deals, especially in a competitive dining area like Alhambra. To learn about any current promotions at Sam's Noodle Station, you would need to check local listings, social media (if they have a presence), or inquire when you call or visit. Given their focus on value ("good price"), their regular menu might already be considered competitively priced.

In conclusion, Sam's Noodle Station in Alhambra is a Chinese restaurant that seems to have carved a niche for itself with its delicious and generously portioned noodle dishes, particularly the popular beef innards noodles. The positive feedback regarding service and price suggests a satisfying dining experience. While they may also offer rice dishes depending on chef availability, their primary focus is clearly on noodles. It is essential to remember that Sam's Noodle Station operates on a "CASH ONLY" basis. *CASH ONLY* Passed by this place many times, but never been inside. Not bad! Sadly, I wanted to get the rice dish for my girlfriend but the chef that normally fries up the wok is out of commission.

Small business restart with great food. Had the #20 which is the house noodle soup, with the soup on the side. . Also ordered the Chinese donut to dip it into the soup. Very filling and I left happy and very satisfied. They also have rice dishes as well. Another gem of a restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley!!! I'll give it 10 diamonds out of 5 stars!!!! Side note, the owner/host speaks English, Cantonese, and Vietnamese from what I was able to pick up while dining there. Update: several months later came back to this gem; still as good as I remember it. Got their special noodles with the Chinese donut. Honestly can't go wrong with that. Got me full. Still very much satisfied with their food!!! 👍👍👍 Further update: came in on a cool August morning. Needed to satisfy my noodle craving. Came back to Sam's noodle station and got the hu tieu dac biet cold (soup on the side) and a side of Chinese donuts. Sam's doesn't disappoint. Family run business, speaking in Cantonese. They have their regulars and randoms like me coming in. It's relatively slow in the morning, granted I came in just around 8am after dropping the kids off from school. The mornings would have kind, elderly people coming in n out. Great place to grab a bowl of noodles and then a coffee at Lee's next door in the same plaza. Maybe grab some fresh baked goods at simply splendid. All n all, a wonderful experience.

Same foods served here as in Mackey Noodle in Duarte. The foods are mostly Chow Zhou style cooking which means a lot of noodle items and pan fried turnip cakes. Since we like the fried rice noodles at Mackey, we ordered the dish here along with fried turnip cake. Both were good and delicious. But the flavors at Mackey is more stand out. I can taste the wok Hei in Mackey’s noodle. Besides the difference in food, Mackey provides a more pleasant dining environment and friendlier service. The surface of the tables here were very sticky and seemed like they had not been clean thoroughly. The server here was also not overly eager to serve us. When we asked a few questions about the food, the server was very impatient, it was like we are bothering her for being there. I guess we would not return here and will just stick with Mackey noodle then.

Got the wonton noodle soup and the bot chien which is good. Solid place for wonton noodle soup. You can get rice noodles and egg noodles dry or wet style. Great service and clean too.
