About Sally's Kitchen

Sally's Kitchen, a Chinese restaurant located at 4727 S Timberline Rd in Fort Collins, Colorado, offers takeout services to the local community. While the restaurant may have a reputation for generally good food based on hearsay mentioned in one review, recent direct customer feedback presents a starkly contrasting picture, highlighting significant concerns regarding food quality, value, and preparation time. Potential local users should carefully consider these recent experiences when deciding whether to order from Sally's Kitchen.

One customer shared their first-time experience, noting that the food was cooked to order. While they found the overall quality to be "ok," they raised a significant issue with the wontons, stating that they "barely had anything in them" despite being priced at $8. This suggests a potential problem with the filling-to-price ratio and overall value of this particular appetizer. Additionally, this customer, who arrived right when the restaurant opened and found no other customers present, experienced a 30-minute wait for their food. They rated their experience a 6/10, suggesting that it was below expectations, and speculated that it might have been an "off day" for the restaurant, contrasting their experience with positive feedback they had heard previously.

In stark contrast to the somewhat neutral experience above, another customer provided an overwhelmingly negative review, labeling their experience as "Absolutely Disgusting!" They ordered cashew beef and expressed that the food was even worse than its appearance. This reviewer strongly advised against visiting Sally's Kitchen, emphasizing the extreme dissatisfaction with their meal. They described the food as "soggy, mushy, bland, slimy, with crunchy vegetables," indicating significant issues with texture and flavor. Even the fried rice, typically a safe option, was described as "slightly better but extremely dry." The reviewer was so repulsed by the meal that they reported throwing away the entire order, which cost $60 with $50 worth being discarded. Their negative reaction was so intense that they claimed to feel like vomiting just thinking about it. This customer went so far as to recommend a competitor, Youngs Cafe, suggesting that paying a slightly higher price per entree would be a worthwhile trade-off for significantly better food quality.

The two available reviews paint a drastically different picture of Sally's Kitchen. The first suggests a possibility of inconsistent quality and potential issues with value and wait times, while the second describes a severely negative experience with multiple dishes being inedible. The strong language and unequivocal recommendation against the restaurant in the second review are particularly concerning for potential customers.

Based on this limited but impactful feedback, it is challenging to ascertain the typical environment or services offered by Sally's Kitchen beyond takeout. The first review mentions a 30-minute wait time even with no other customers, which could indicate slow preparation times or a made-to-order approach that requires patience. The second review focuses solely on the quality of the delivered food, providing no insight into the restaurant's ambiance or in-person service.

The features of Sally's Kitchen, based on the ordered items, include standard American Chinese fare such as cashew beef, wontons, and fried rice. However, the execution of these dishes appears to be highly inconsistent, with one customer finding them barely acceptable and another finding them utterly repulsive. The significant discrepancy in these experiences does not allow for a clear understanding of the restaurant's culinary strengths or typical offerings.

There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Customers are solely focused on describing their direct experiences with the food and service (or lack thereof, in terms of speed). The pricing of the wontons ($8 for a supposedly underfilled order) and the total cost of the disastrous meal ($60) offer some insight into the restaurant's price range, but without knowing the full order of the second reviewer, it's difficult to assess the overall value proposition.

For local users in Fort Collins considering Sally's Kitchen, the available reviews present a significant red flag. The extremely negative experience described by one customer, encompassing multiple poorly prepared dishes and a strong recommendation to avoid the restaurant, should be taken very seriously. While the other review was less severe, it still highlighted issues with value and wait time. The lack of consistent positive feedback makes it difficult to recommend Sally's Kitchen based on this information. Potential customers might want to seek more recent and a greater number of reviews from various sources to get a more comprehensive understanding of the current state of this establishment before placing an order.

Sally's Kitchen is located at 4727 S Timberline Rd and can be contacted at (970) 377-4112 or +1 970-377-4112. Given the severity of the negative feedback, it would be prudent for potential customers to exercise caution and perhaps explore other Chinese restaurant options in the Fort Collins area that have more consistently positive reviews regarding food quality and value. The stark contrast between the hearsay of "great things" and the actual recent experiences suggests a potential decline in quality or significant inconsistencies.

This was our first time trying this place and the food was cooked to order. The quality was ok, only thing is the wontons barely had anything in them and they were $8. I got here right when they opened so they didn't have any customers and it did take about a 30 minute wait to get my food. I give this place a 6/10. Maybe it was an off day for them since all i hear is great things about this place but my experience wasnt the greatest.

Absolutely Disgusting! I ordered cashew beef. It's even worse than it looks! Never go here! This food was so gross, I cannot overstate it. My dad and brother HATED their orders too. I wouldn't feed this to my dog or even a poor rat. It was soggy, mushy, bland, slimy, with crunchy vegetables. The fried rice was slightly better but extremely dry. I literally threw away everything in this picture. I want to throw up just rethinking this. $50 out of $60 went straight in the trash! Do yourself a favor and pay an extra $5 per entree and go to Youngs Cafe!!

They are extremely slow and overpriced. They'll tell you 1.5 hours and it'll be 3+ so you just have to sit in a gas station forever waiting. No matter how behind they are they tell everyone the same thing and being so off on your order times is ridiculous and it has happened to me multiple times. And their prices go up regularly, it's as expensive as going to a dine in restaurant instead of a gas station. Otherwise it's your average Chinese take out, good but not anything special.

Place was super friendly. The food gets made in like less than 10 minutes. So it's like borderline fast food but it's delicious as you would imagine.
