The food is always phenomenal. The waitresses are open to conversation while still serving you in a timely manner. The dining area is tidy and the bathrooms smell like they've been cleaned regularly. It's all around a great atmosphere that my whole family enjoys.

I was really looking forward to a hibachi experience with my husband and baby, but this restaurant was a huge disappointment. I specifically asked for an individual hibachi live show, and the staff initially told us they would check if we could be seated near an existing party. I agreed, assuming we would still get the full experience. However, once seated, I asked if they would be cooking on our side of the grill, and they said no. Basically, we were expected to sit there and watch someone else’s hibachi show while our food was cooked on the same grill as a different party. That completely defeated the purpose of coming for hibachi in the first place. On top of that, they expected us to pay an 18% gratuity for this back-turned hibachi experience. It was clear they just wanted our money and didn’t actually care about us having a great time. When we refused to accept food from the same grill as the existing party and got up to leave, the waitresses caught an attitude with us. The lack of customer care and professionalism was shocking. This place only cares about the money going into their pockets, not their customers. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a true hibachi experience.

Was a customer here for years and Will NEVER RETURN! Dropped $114 on "to go" steak shrimp, soup and salad dinners. Asked the waitresses specifically if ALL THE SOUPS AND SALADS WERE IN THE BAG. THEY TOLD US YES! get home, change clothes get ready to eat and low and behold the soup and salad was missing. I called and I was stern but NOT RUDE and told them we asked before we left and were told it was all in there. It was irritating to have to run back up there. But I changed clothes again, when I get up there I asked to speak to a manager but they were not in. The waitress did NOT apologize but started putting her hand up and saying it was not a big deal because the soup and salad didn't cost that much. I TOLD HER THAT WAS NOT THE POINT! the fact I had to make a 14 mile round trip back up there was the point while our food is at the house getting cold. She started punchin her fist into her hand like she was going to jump me! I told her jump little girl! The very thought that these young waitresses think it is no big deal to make someone have to follow up on their job is ridiculous. She just kept yelling goodnight and walked off. And the uniforms they wear look like sloppy pajamas/leggings stuffing themselves into these too small britches that cover nothing up! Very unprofessional! I will NEVER order here again. I will go off Cody Road to Japanese/Bamboo steakhouse.

My wife found this place and after looking at the reviews we decided to try it. Our experience wasn’t what the majority of the people posting experienced. We arrived and it took a little while to even get seated even though they weren’t super busy. Once seated looking around most of the tables were dirty. They only have one hibachi chef on a Saturday evening so it took awhile to get food. The waitresses were not good at their job, must be new or not well trained. The prices are on par with the other hibachi restaurants in Mobile but you get LESS food I mean WAAYYY less. See the pics of you don’t believe me. Me and my wife ordered the Sakura special for 2 with chicken, shrimp, and steak and the portion sizes are ridiculous! 8 pieces of chicken and steak and shrimp. Like they were counting out everything. The chef was just ok. No where near the other restaurants in Mobile. No seasoning on the food just a little pepper and soy sauce. Not sure about the yum yum sauce either. Don’t know how theirs is made but I’ve never seen yum yum sauce left out at room temperature because it doesn’t have preservatives it has to be refrigerated. Here it’s left out on the table. Didn’t trust it had them bring me out some cold yum yum sauce. The atmosphere wasn’t that inviting. Really thought about leaving after the long wait to be seated in a half empty restaurant but we stuck it out. Wish we would have left. The money you spend here is right there with the other hibachi restaurants but the service and food are worse by far. Won’t go back!

I had a very nice experience. This time I did a to-go order and I had no idea what I was doing. The staff was very helpful in this department and assisted me to help me understand. The store is very clean and the food is always delicious
