Sushi was amazing. Service was great. My date was hot. 4/5 stars though because I thought the lobster tail was going to actually have lobster in it (it’s just the shell for presentation), instead it comes with fried chunks of lobster. Still delicious, just a tad misleading for a $22 roll.

One of the best sushi spots in San Antonio! We loved our appetizers. Sweet tea was perfect which is a big deal for us. And the sushi rolls were delicious.

Wow!!!! This place is rated high for a reason. When we walked in, I felt like we were the main focus. The staff is super attentive. I got to order my first ever sushi boat (yay for Mother’s Day!) and the sushi was extremely fresh! The rolls were amazing and well balanced and the nigiri and sashimi were “chef’s kiss!” And y’all! My son voluntarily ate the broccoli from his chicken teriyaki! That NEVER happens! Rounded out the mean with a Kirin Ichiban and my husband has the Asian pear sake! We WILL be back!

FALSE ADVERTISING, UNDERWHELMING and OVERPRICED: A Meal to Forget. 100% disappointed and will not be back after almost 2 decades of eating here with my family. 1. Service was not the typical friendly, engaged experience. Server was going through the motions. Not a dealbreaker, we all have bad days. 2. Entire place had about 6 tables of guest, mine included, and it took a long time to get our order placed. Again, not a dealbreaker, there are many reasons it may have taken the server an extended amount of time to reconnect and get our order. 3. When the server took our order, they informed us the grilled tuna teriyaki would be $10 more PER ORDER and that the menu wasn’t updated. I thought it was *****ILLEGAL*****to sell things not at at the price in which they were advertised. At this point, the experience started to go sour but we decided to stay. 4. All food dishes came out about ten minutes apart. So it took about 20 min from when the first plate arrived until we all had our food for us to be able to eat our $20 more, some cold, some warm meals together. 5. When the bill came, the miso soup was charged at $3.00 a bowl and menu showed it was $2.50. Additionally parties of 5 or more are charged 20% gratuity. This legitimately came across as a big and final punch to the customer. SAKE CAFE, this is bad business and unfortunately, the first bad review written and it was because it seemed morally the right thing to do.

This was our eighth time patronizing this Sushi 🍣 restaurant. It is always a delicious place to dine. The shrimp tempura 🍤 is fabulous as an appetizer. The miso soup is delightful as a starter too. Service is always spot on. The Sushi is second to none. As always, we will definitely return...Simply Love it!
