About Saigon Pho

Saigon Pho is a restaurant located at 1384 Lyell Ave in Rochester, NY. While the platform categorizes it as a Chinese Restaurant, customer reviews indicate that Saigon Pho specializes in Vietnamese cuisine, particularly Pho.

One reviewer describes Saigon Pho as a "wonder hidden jem" in Rochester, claiming it offers the "best pho in Rochester." They praise the broth for its flavor and depth, and the quality of the meat. This customer also found the service to be "sweet and caring." Additionally, they noted the restaurant's cleanliness and a "nice cool relaxing family kitchen vibe," suggesting a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere that is also conducive to studying while eating.

However, another customer shared a less positive experience during a recent visit. While they mentioned usually having good experiences, on this occasion, their Pho was served without basil, a common accompaniment. Furthermore, they reported poor customer service when they inquired about the missing basil, stating that the "older Vietnamese gentleman" gave them attitude.

Overall, Saigon Pho appears to be a restaurant known for its authentic and flavorful Pho, with a generally well-regarded service and a pleasant, clean environment. However, recent feedback indicates a potential inconsistency in order accuracy and customer service. For local users seeking Vietnamese cuisine, particularly Pho, in Rochester, Saigon Pho is worth considering, keeping in mind the mixed recent service experience reported by one customer. They can be contacted at (585) 235-3611 or +1 585-235-3611 for inquiries.

Today, my family and I went to Saigon for food before church. I've never had a bad experience there before, but today was different. I ordered my usual "pho," but they didn't provide the basil. To make matters worse, the customer service was poor. When I asked, "You forgot my basil," the older Vietnamese gentleman gave me attitude.

Wonder hidden jem in Rochester so far. The best pho in Rochester. Broth, has flavor and depth meat is good. Service is sweet and caring. Definitely, people have been keeping this place on the low, or I'm missing out. Also is clean and has a nice cool relaxing family kitchen vibe. Welcoming if you need a spot to eat and study a little bit

It's a small place with few tables and space for a large crowd, but who cares when you have such amazing food as this place has?! The Pho Ga is one of the best I've ever had with layers of flavor that made my soul happy. The Shrimp Fried Rice was equally as delightful. I drove a long way to meet with this bowl of Pho and I'll always make a stop here when I'm in town again!

Small cozy place with authentic Vietnamese flavors. The banh xeo is a great dish and deal at $9. Absolutely cooked to perfection with a great selection of fresh vegetables to go with it. The sauce provided is light and I prefer a more robust fish sauce but overall the dish is pretty perfect. The rice dish is good. The egg cake is slightly smaller than I am used to but they also provide a perfectly cooked sunny side up egg. The pork is a lean cut of meat but decently marinated. It's a bunch of slices and well-made. It's just missing the shredded pork but otherwise delicious! Egg rolls are well-made. Small but fried well. Standard. Vietnamese iced coffee (cafe sua da) is thicker and VERY intense. Also delicious but you might find yourself eating it more-so than drinking it.
