About Saigon Grill (Chinese & Vietnamese Cuisine)

Saigon Grill, located at 337 N Circle Dr in Colorado Springs, Colorado, distinguishes itself by offering a fusion of two popular Asian culinary traditions: Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. With contact phone numbers (719) 635-0720 and +1 719-635-0720, this establishment provides a unique opportunity for local users to explore a diverse menu that encompasses dishes from both culinary worlds. This dual offering could appeal to individuals or groups with varying preferences, allowing them to find familiar favorites or try something new from either the Chinese or Vietnamese culinary repertoire.

Based on the limited recent customer feedback available online, the experiences at Saigon Grill appear to be mixed, particularly concerning their Vietnamese offerings. One reviewer, who had not visited the restaurant for a couple of years, noted a change in ownership and expressed significant disappointment with their pho. Pho is a Vietnamese noodle soup, typically consisting of broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat, and is considered a staple of Vietnamese cuisine. The reviewer described it as the "worst pho I ever had," citing several issues. These included a scarcity of meat pieces, tendon that tasted old (as if taken from old prepped packs and boiled just before serving), and a soup base that tasted of MSG, which the reviewer felt was an "insult to call this pho in Asia." Additionally, the restaurant was reportedly out of bean sprouts, a common accompaniment to pho, and did not offer any substitute. This strongly negative review suggests that the quality and authenticity of their Vietnamese pho may be lacking, particularly for those familiar with traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

Another reviewer who ordered food to go provided a more varied assessment. They found some of the Chinese-inspired appetizers, specifically the wings and crab cheese wontons, to be "good." This indicates that certain items on the Chinese side of their menu might be satisfactory. However, this reviewer also had a negative experience with the pho, stating that it "wasn’t very good." Their specific complaints included a broth that was "very salty" and sliced chicken that had a "weird texture." This corroborates the previous reviewer's dissatisfaction with the pho, suggesting that there might be consistent issues with this particular Vietnamese dish, both in terms of broth flavor and the quality of the meat used.

The limited feedback makes it challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of Saigon Grill's environment, services, or any unique features beyond its dual-cuisine offering. The reviews primarily focus on the quality of specific food items, with a notable emphasis on the negative experiences with the Vietnamese pho. The positive comments about the wings and crab cheese wontons suggest that some of their Chinese dishes might be better received. However, the strong criticism of the pho is a significant point for potential customers, especially those specifically seeking Vietnamese cuisine.

For local users considering Saigon Grill, particularly those interested in Vietnamese food, the current reviews raise concerns about the quality and authenticity of their pho. The repeated negative feedback regarding the broth and meat texture should be taken into account. If the primary interest is in Chinese cuisine, the positive mention of the wings and crab cheese wontons offers a glimmer of hope, but more information would be needed to assess the overall quality and variety of their Chinese menu. The fact that the restaurant offers both Chinese and Vietnamese food could be seen as a convenience for groups with diverse preferences, but the execution of both cuisines seems to be a point of contention based on the available reviews.

To gain a better understanding of Saigon Grill's offerings, including the full extent of their Chinese and Vietnamese menus, the ambiance of the restaurant for dine-in customers (if available), and other services like takeout or delivery, local users may want to contact them directly at (719) 635-0720 or +1 719-635-0720 or visit their location at 337 N Circle Dr. Given the limited and somewhat negative feedback regarding their Vietnamese pho, those specifically seeking high-quality Vietnamese cuisine might want to exercise caution or consider other establishments specializing in Vietnamese food in the area. For those interested in trying their Chinese dishes, the positive comments on the appetizers might warrant further investigation.

As there is no mention of any promotional information or details about the restaurant's environment or services beyond food preparation in the provided reviews, local users would need to inquire directly to obtain this information. The current feedback primarily serves as a cautionary note regarding the consistency and quality of their Vietnamese pho, while offering a slight positive indication for some of their Chinese appetizers. A more comprehensive assessment would require additional customer feedback covering a broader range of their menu items and the overall dining experience.

In conclusion, Saigon Grill (Chinese & Vietnamese Cuisine) in Colorado Springs presents a unique concept by offering dishes from two distinct Asian culinary traditions. However, the recent customer reviews highlight significant concerns about the quality of their Vietnamese pho, with complaints about the broth, meat, and missing ingredients. On a more positive note, some Chinese appetizers like the wings and crab cheese wontons have been well-received. Potential customers, especially those interested in Vietnamese cuisine, should be aware of the reported issues with the pho. Those looking to explore their Chinese menu might find some satisfactory options, but a more comprehensive evaluation would require further information and reviews.

Havent been here for couple years and i guess ownership changed. Worst pho i ever had. Barely any pieces of meats and tendon tasted old like they took out old prepped pack and boiled right before the order. Msg soup base, it is an insult to call this pho in asia. Were out of bean sprouts and didnt add anything either

Ordered food to go. The wings and crab cheese wontons were good. The pho wasn’t very good. Main broth was very salty and the sliced chicken had a weird texture.

Delicious and fresh! Tried this place out for the first time a few months ago and it’s been our go to Asian restaurant since! Food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. The food is consistently good, and they don’t skimp out on sauce or marinate. They have a good lunch special too. We found out this place has been under new ownership for a few years now, so ignore any really old reviews. Highly recommend trying this place out!

Ordered delivery and everything was perfect. Crispy chicken wings, heavy serving of fried rice. I don’t care for their soy sauce packets but no biggie. Delivered under 40 minutes

We have been going here for a few months now and have tried different items on the menu and they have all been delicious!! This place is a hidden gem. I think the old bad reviews were from them being under different management. We have had nothing but good service since going.
