About Ruby Thai South Shore Plaza

Ruby Thai is a Thai restaurant situated within the South Shore Plaza at 250 Granite St, Braintree, MA 02184, USA. They can be contacted at (781) 356-7888 or +1 781-356-7888.

Customer reviews indicate a mixed experience at Ruby Thai. One reviewer found the food to be decent, although not cheap. They noted friendly and fast service and appreciated the availability of vermicelli noodles, even though there was a $0.50 extra charge for them, which they found yummy. The spicy chicken was not very spicy but was just right for their preference.

Another customer felt that the portion sizes were too small and highlighted an additional $1.25 charge for shrimp, for which they received only three tiny pieces mixed with vegetables. They compared the portion size unfavorably to a Ruby Thai location at Providence Place. This reviewer also provided ratings for several dishes: fried rice (6/10, noting it was wet), mango chicken (7/10, not too sweet with crispy chicken), shrimp and veggie (4/10, criticizing the small amount of shrimp), eggplant and tofu (5/10, describing it as tasteless), noodles (8/10, al dente and fresh), and spicy chicken (7/10, too sweet for their taste). A total of two meals with two entrees and a drink cost this reviewer $30.

Overall, Ruby Thai at South Shore Plaza offers Thai cuisine with generally friendly and fast service. However, some customers have found the prices to be on the higher side and the portion sizes to be small, particularly for dishes with added protein like shrimp. The quality of different dishes appears to vary according to customer feedback. If you are looking for Thai food while at South Shore Plaza, Ruby Thai is an option, but it's advisable to be aware of the potential for smaller portions and additional charges for certain ingredients.

Not cheap but the food was decent. Service was friendly and fast. The spicy chicken wasn’t very spicy but it was just to right for me. I was glad they had vermicelli noodles :-). It’s. .50 extra charge but they are yummy!

Portion was too small, add another $1.25 if you choose shrimp but what I got was 3 pcs of tiny shrimp that covered with veggies 😔. Ruby Thai at Providence Place served better portion than this. 2 meals with 2 entrees and a drink cost $30 Fried rice 6/10 ( rice was wet) Mango chicken 7/10 (not too sweet and chicken was crispy) Shrimp and veggie 4/10 (seriously only 3 tiny pcs) Eggplant and tofu 5/10 (tasteless) Noodles 8/10 ( al dente and fresh) Spicy chicken 7/10 ( just too sweet for my taste bud)

This place is the first restaurant you see when you turn the corner into the food court. They are known for giving out food samples. I like the orange chicken the most, but the quality and portion sizes have decreased over the years.

Not as good as it used to be. I paid 11.99 for a serving of rice plus 1.55 for a little more. The portion sizes have decreased for sure. I'll be eating elsewhere when I go to this mall again
