Based on recent customer feedback, Ruby Chow's provides a positive and enjoyable dining experience. One first-time visitor highly recommends making a reservation, especially for bar seating on busy nights like Fridays, as the restaurant tends to get crowded. They specifically praised the bartender and server, Paul, for his excellent recommendations and attentive service despite the busy environment.
The atmosphere at Ruby Chow's is frequently described as great, with refreshing music adding to the overall ambiance. Customers have also raved about the delicious food. Standout dishes mentioned in reviews include the scallops, described as super buttery and melt-in-your-mouth, and the roasted bone marrow.
While one reviewer found their drink to be a bit too sweet, they noted that the quality of the food more than compensated for it. The option to sit at the bar, even without a prior reservation on a busy Friday night, was appreciated by another customer, highlighting the restaurant's ability to accommodate walk-ins at the bar.
For local users seeking a Chinese restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service, particularly at the bar, Ruby Chow's comes highly recommended. Given its popularity, especially on weekends, making a reservation is advisable to ensure seating.

Customer Reviews
Had a great first experience at Ruby Chow’s. I made a reservation at the bar on a Friday at 7:30, which at first I felt silly about, but was glad I did once it started to pick up. Paul, who was my bartender/server was awesome. He gave great recommendations and despite how busy it was, kept checking on me. The drink I had was really good, and the food was delicious. Not to mention the atmosphere was really great and the music was very refreshing. My only pain point was not taking something to go. I will definitely be back!
Came on a busy Friday night without a reservation and was able to get seated immediately at the bar. Their drinks were okay. My drink was a bit too sweet for my liking but the food made up for it. I recommend the scallops and the roasted bone marrow. Scallops in particular was super buttery and just melted in my mouth.
Atmosphere was nice with dim lighting. Our server was attentive. The food was small plates and overall, okay. Compared to the drinks, the food was good. My friend enjoyed her snapper fish meal and I order the crispy rolls and basil chicken. Although the food was decent, I don’t think it’s worth coming back for. Also, the cocktails were terrible. My espresso martini was the worst I’ve ever had. We were hoping to make this a one stop shop for the night. However, we ended up going to another cocktail bar to get better drinks. For one drink and one meal, our total was around $50 each. I also payed $5 for valet parking in the back and parked the car myself (lol, smh). However, I’m relieved it wasn’t $10-$20 like most spots.
The vibe of this place is great, food is unique and had a lot of interesting dishes to try. My recommendations are the shaking beef, fried oysters and spicy pork noodles. Great place to get drinks as well!
Listen. I’ve never been to Ruby Chow’s and didn’t get 5 star service. This has become one of my go to places whenever I want to celebrate something or someone. The food is always amazing. The service is always fantastic. The ambiance is so sexy and intimate, I feel like I’m in an asian restaurant in NYC. Perfect place for a date night ! Hands down! The things that I had that were amazing were Fallen from Grace (this delicious mezcal cocktail), fried oysters, butternut squash soup, shaking beef (order a side of rice to go with it), Shoyu Tomago (add the caviar!), Bone Marrow (the pickled jam to go with it is so yum!), Cacio E Pepe (I have a friend who swears by it), and the mango sticky rice! And the prices are reasonable! It is all small plates but I personally love that so that way you can try more stuff, or you can just stick to what you love and not pay a fortune for your meal. I’ll always come back, love Ruby Chows!
