I ordered the pepper steak with fried rice, but the “fried rice” was anything but fried. It was more like yellow parboiled rice with no flavor. I tried adding soy sauce, but it didn’t help, and I ended up tossing it. The pepper steak itself was okay—the meat was decent, the veggies were crisp, and the sauce was savory. However, the disappointing rice ruined the meal for me. If you don’t mind fried rice that isn’t actually fried, this might be the place for you, but it’s a no for me.😕

Is perfect!!! Nothing out of world, but completely delicious, good price and good service, i mean it couldn’t be more convinient!! The food is great i like how it did not feel heavy and greasy at all, just the good chinese food as usual, good price.

I have eaten a lot of Chinese food around the country and coming from California, Las Vegas, Minnesota, Texas & Mississippi just to name a few places these cooks do not short change or skip ingredients in FT LAUDERDALE. THE FOOD IS THE BEST THAT I HAVE HAD IN A LONG LONG TIME. THE FLAVOR IS AS IF I WAS ACTUALLY IN CHINA. I had the shrimp egg foo young cooked PERFECTLY. It was so good. The hot & sour soup was great. their lunch special is so much food. I will go back!!!! I enjoyed my food and my friend which is Indian enjoyed her food too, she couldn't stop talking about the place. the family own business is a number #1 place in my book. the young man doing cashiering was nice and he had his customer service skill on point. the place appears as a hole in the wall but the food fast like a $$$$ restaurant. NEVET BEEN THIS HAPPY with my Chinese food.😁☺

My first time ordering from Ruby Chen's, and my last. I spent nearly $40 on my order for 2 people. The "Happy Family" was mostly hard broccoli with a very few small pieces of meat and seafood. Not even enough for 1 person. The fried rice was terrible. I'm 63 from New York. I know good Chinese and what it costs. This was not good Chinese.

Well I just moved into the neighborhood and thought I'd try out the spare ribs . They're actually really good in the employee was extremely friendly and I will definitely be back. Take the time to look for this place because it's hidden with all of the construction that's going on in the plaza .
