About Royal Chopstix

For local users in Singapore seeking information about Chinese dining options, we present an overview of Royal Chopstix, located at 1420 Jupiter Rd #103, Plano, TX 75074, USA. This establishment operates as a Chinese Restaurant offering both dine-in and takeout services.

According to recent customer reviews, Royal Chopstix is described as a "very nice family owned Chinese restaurant" that handles a high volume of takeout orders. One customer who dined in noted that the restaurant was very clean and their order of fried rice and egg drop soup was served quickly, with the food being hot and tasty. The egg drop soup was even described as one of the best they had tasted. The restaurant is also mentioned as being easily accessible from Jupiter Road, and the reviewer expressed happiness in supporting a local business.

However, another recent review details a significant issue with customer service and food quality. The customer, a long-time patron of this and another location, ordered lo mein to go with egg included. Upon receiving the order without egg, they returned the next morning seeking a remake or clarification. The staff insisted egg was included, despite the customer's inability to find any. The situation escalated when the staff mentioned the cost of eggs and then appeared to reheat the returned noodles instead of making a fresh batch, potentially violating health codes. The customer was ultimately advised to visit another branch. An update to this review also mentioned finding a piece of plastic in the noodles.

Based on these reviews, Royal Chopstix appears to be a restaurant with potentially inconsistent service and food quality. While some customers have had positive experiences regarding cleanliness and certain dishes like fried rice and egg drop soup, there are also serious concerns raised about customer service practices and food safety.

Potential customers may want to consider these recent experiences when deciding to dine at or order from this particular Royal Chopstix location in Plano.

Been coming here for a long time. Very disappointed with the customer service today. I have ordered the same dish at Royal Chopstix (this franchise location, and Farmers Branch location) never had any complaints at all before. I had placed an order for the lo mein to go and specified for egg to be added if it wasn’t included, they said it was included. I get my noodles and I don’t see a speck of egg in there. So I go back next morning to ask them if they can just remake the noodles with the box so that they can see for themselves. They insist that they added it, and that there’s not that much and that they’ve never had this complain in 20 years. I said I’ve ordered the same thing over a long time and this is my first time experiencing this too. I told them about how I ordered from other branches including one that has now shut down. They then turned it around on me saying “eggs are expensive.” I said that’s fine I would have been happy to pay to add egg but it says it’s included in the noodles on the menu. Anyway, I didn’t want to create an argument so I just said feel free to remake it or refund it whatever you guys want to do. And then I literally see them toss the same noodles I brought in to the same wok- didn’t even care enough to try to make a fresh batch. But also they probably violated health code there. Day old noodles that I had brought back tossed into the same wok that they use for everyone. The lady who has usually been pretty nice then says “you should go to the farmers branch location, it’s better for you.” That’s what I get for trying to politely ask them to uphold their own standards for food. Not coming back here and done with this restaurant. Update: I found a piece of plastic in the noodles too

12/04/24: Very nice family owned Chinese restaurant. They do a ton of business on take out orders, but I enjoyed dining in. There wasn't a lot of customers dining in, but I observed lots of customers stopping by to pick up their order. The restaurant was very clean. I sat at a table and ordered fried rice and egg drop soup. My order came out pretty quickly and my food was very hot. The rice was really good and the egg drop soup was one of the best I've had. The restaurant is easily accessible from Jupiter Road. I'm happy to to support a local business.

First time trying this restaurant and we loved it. The meat tasted very fresh and delicious. The chili sauce was very good and spicy, just how I like it. The pice was fair. Very friendly and fast service.

This is the worst Chinese food restaurant I’ve ever had in my entire life. Being a New Yorker, I am very particular about the type of Chinese food that I eat and this place was disgusting. I ordered sweet-and-sour chicken with fried rice. The chicken was dry and hard as a brick. It was like it was too cooked and then undercooked at the same time. The rice was dry and also overcooked. It tastes like it was boiled and not fried at all. The sweet-and-sour sauce was not the sauce. It was a legit liquid that flowed like water. It was not a thick sauce at all like it should’ve been. I also ordered lo mein and it was the mushy noodles. The noodles were clearly overcooked. It was the worst meal and I will not ever give them a dime of my money ever again. Do not eat at this restaurant. The paper menus don’t have prices. Apple Pay does not work. The restaurant didn’t look clean at all, which should’ve been my first sign to not eat there.

The ambiance is 70s diner. The lo mein is low-median. They got my takeout order wrong, made me bring it back to exchange it, and refused to compensate me in any way for that inconvenience and expense. Two thumbs down.
