About Roy's Restaurant

Roy's Restaurant is located at 26831 S Bay Dr #100 in Bonita Springs, FL. They can be contacted at (239) 498-7697 or +1 239-498-7697. While the platform category suggests a Chinese restaurant, customer reviews indicate that Roy's Restaurant is renowned for its seafood and likely features Pacific Rim cuisine, consistent with the style of chef Roy Yamaguchi.

Customers have highlighted the exceptional quality of the fish dishes, with one reviewer stating they had some of the "most amazing fish" in years, particularly praising the four selections offered and the perfect cooking of the salmon. The service also receives high marks, with a specific mention of a waiter named Roland who was described as fantastic and highly skilled at describing the dishes.

However, one first-time diner reported a mixed experience. While they noted an enthusiastic greeting from the staff and enjoyed the flavorful and well-presented Sea Bass (despite it being slightly undercooked) and their wife's perfectly prepared tuna, they had some criticisms. The atmosphere was described as "AARP on a Hawaiian excursion," suggesting a more mature clientele and perhaps a specific type of ambiance. There were also comments about a slow initial service, a waitress who seemed rushed, flavorless lobster pot stickers with a boring presentation, and an underwhelming pineapple upside-down cake, for which coffee was not offered.

Overall, Roy's Restaurant appears to be a place where many appreciate the exceptional quality of the seafood and the attentiveness of some staff members. While there might be inconsistencies in the overall dining experience, particularly regarding the ambiance and certain dishes, the focus on fresh and well-prepared fish remains a key highlight. For local users in Bonita Springs seeking a seafood-centric dining experience with potential Pacific Rim influences and attentive service, Roy's Restaurant is worth considering, keeping in mind the varied feedback on the overall experience.

Some of the most amazing fish I’ve ever had in years. I love the 4 selections of fish, each one was cooked to perfection especially the salmon. Our waiter Roland did a fantastic job. He does such a good job describing the dishes. I think they should just get rid of the menu and let him just describe it. Perfect staff

Dined at Roy’s last evening for the first time. We were greeted enthusiastically by all staff we passed on our way to our table. The atmosphere was AARP on a Hawaiian excursion. After being seated for over 10 minutes we finally met our waitress who got us started with a cocktail. Our waitress acted like she had somewhere else to be that night and tried to hurry our dinner. We started with the lobster pot stickers which were flavorless and were offered with a boring presentation. Our main course was the Sea Bass which was very flavorful and well presented despite being a tad under cooked. My wife enjoyed the tuna which she found to be prepared to perfection. Dessert was a pineapple upside down cake which tended to underwhelm. Might have enjoyed it more with a cup of coffee if on was offered. All in all a mediocre experience.

Stopped for drinks on a Sunday Funday. Sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and very personable. The Old Fashioned and dirty Martini were excellent. Decided to have the sliders with fries which were on the happy hour menu, very good. Will definitely go again. Highly recommend

We went for aloha hour and they served very strong, full size drinks as well as a limited bar menu. The famous fried tuna roll was just okay. The bartender was very nice.
