About Rose Garden Chinese Restaurant

Located at 13105 Meridian E #101 in Puyallup, Washington, Rose Garden Chinese Restaurant operates within the Chinese Restaurant category, offering a variety of dishes to local diners. The restaurant can be contacted at (253) 770-9988 or +1 253-770-9988 for inquiries or orders. Customer reviews available online provide insights into the dining experience, although they present a range of opinions regarding the food and service.

One reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with their recent experience, stating that a second visit was "WORSE" than the first. On this occasion, they ordered the Almond Chicken, which they had found "OK" previously. However, the second time, they described it as extremely dry, thick, and crispy to the point of being "NOT EDIBLE!" The reviewer expressed strong criticism regarding the quality of the food relative to the prices charged, questioning the restaurant's standards. They also mentioned the restaurant being empty around 5 PM on a Friday, suggesting a potential lack of popularity at typical dinner times.

In their initial review, the same customer found the Moo Goo Gail Pan to taste "OK" but noted that the portion size was "tiny" for the price of $18. The Almond Chicken was also described as just "OK" in the initial review, indicating a lack of strong positive impressions even during the first visit. Furthermore, they detailed their disappointment with the Chicken Chow Mein, stating that it contained only "TWO tiny pieces" of chicken, no larger than a pinky tip, with the majority of the dish being noodles. They compared the quality unfavorably to that of a grocery store deli and concluded that their overall experience, costing over $50, was not worth the price, recommending that others "go somewhere else." The reviewer's overall rating of the restaurant was a 2 out of 5, which they considered "generous," highlighting a strongly negative sentiment.

In contrast to this highly critical feedback, another reviewer had a more positive experience, stating that "The food was very delicious." They specifically praised the chow mein, suggesting it was "probably one of the best." This reviewer also found the prices to be "competitive" and the service to be "decent." They concluded by noting that the store was "Overall clean," presenting a much more favorable impression of Rose Garden Chinese Restaurant.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it appears that the experiences at Rose Garden Chinese Restaurant can vary significantly. While one customer found the food quality to be severely lacking, particularly the Almond Chicken and Chicken Chow Mein, and criticized the portion sizes relative to the price, another customer found the food to be delicious, especially the chow mein, and considered the prices reasonable with decent service and a clean environment.

The discrepancy in these reviews makes it challenging to form a definitive objective assessment of the restaurant. The negative reviews raise concerns about food quality, consistency, and portion sizes, while the positive review suggests that the restaurant is capable of providing delicious food and decent service. The fact that one reviewer noted an empty restaurant during a typical dinner time on a Friday could be interpreted in various ways, potentially indicating issues with popularity or perhaps just an unusually slow evening.

For local users in Puyallup considering dining at Rose Garden Chinese Restaurant, it would be prudent to weigh these differing opinions. If you highly value the quality and portion size of dishes like Almond Chicken and Chow Mein, the negative reviews might give you pause. However, if you are looking for a place where at least one customer found the chow mein to be exceptional and the prices competitive, it might still be worth considering, perhaps with the understanding that experiences can vary.

There is no information provided in the reviews regarding the environment or ambiance of the restaurant, nor are there any mentions of specific services beyond dine-in, such as takeout or delivery. Additionally, no promotional information or signature dishes are highlighted, other than the individual items mentioned in the reviews. Therefore, it is difficult to provide a detailed introduction beyond the conflicting opinions on the food and service.

In conclusion, Rose Garden Chinese Restaurant in Puyallup presents a mixed picture based on the available customer reviews. While one reviewer experienced significant disappointment with the food quality and portion sizes, another found the food delicious and the prices competitive. Potential local customers should consider these differing perspectives when deciding whether to visit this Chinese restaurant. Further information or a broader range of reviews might be needed to establish a more consistent understanding of the dining experience offered at Rose Garden Chinese Restaurant.

A 2 is generous Moody! After a 2nd try with this establishment to be fair, it was WORSE. Ordered the Almond Chicken since it was OK last time. Dry as heck! 1/4" inch thick thick and crispy as heck. NOT EDIBLE! Who do these people think they are charging what they do and producing CRAP! Photo from 2 inches away. INITIAL REVIEW: Moo Goo Gail Pan tasted OK but tinyportion for $18. Almond Chicken was OK. Now, what would be expected in Chicken Chow Mein? Yeah, CHICKEN! TWO tiny pieces no larger than my pinky tip. Basically, all I received was noodles. Safeway serves better than this in their deli. No wonder the place was empty at around 5 PM on Friday. For over $50, go somewhere else.

I ordered three of the chow mein specials for me and some co workers and after getting halfway through the dish I was kinda disappointed because the three dishes were made together because I got two little pieces of beef, chicken, and 6 prawns and a ton of noodles... My other co worker got one prawn and a couple pieces of chicken and beef then the last coworker got 10 pieces of prawn, 10 pieces of beef, 10 pieces of chicken and tons of ingredients in the noodles not just full of noodles like mine.

We ordered from Rose Garden for the first time tonight, after reading many great reviews. Our usual spot was closed, due to it being New Years Eve, so we tried something new - but we will not be back. It felt like a waste of $100 unfortunately. I called to make an order for pickup, and the woman who answered the phone was very pleasant. She let me know before ordering they were very busy and looking at an hour+ wait time - which I was fine with. I appreciated her letting me know ahead of time, before making the order. I will start with their food grade - when we went to pick the order up, their food grade rating was only ‘Okay’. Had I known that before ordering, I likely would have gone somewhere else. But at this point, we had already ordered so there was nothing that could be done. The pickup process was easy, the food was ready on time, as promised. They were very busy. When we got home and unpacked the food, I immediately noticed the sauce for the sweet and sour chicken was not in the bag - very annoying. Now we just had a container of fried chicken pieces with no sauce. The lemon chicken sauce was packed separate - which I do appreciate, so the chicken does not become soggy during travel. The portion size of everything was pretty good, other than the Mongolian beef - which was barely enough to split between our family of 4. While unpacking the food, I noticed the containers of noodles and rice were piping hot - I even commented ‘oh wow, the food is nice and fresh!’ With that said, everything else in our order was ice cold. Both chickens (sweet and sour and lemon) as well as the Mongolian beef. We also ordered BBQ pork, but that is always cold, so that was no concern. Cold and sauce less, I tried to make the best of the meal. Again, I appreciated they were open New Years Eve. With that said, other than the Mongolian beef and pork fried rice, EVERYTHING was tasteless. The chicken had zero seasonings, the noodles were bland and the BBQ pork was rubbery and tasteless. The Mongolian beef was very good, the best part of the meal, it had a little kick of spice but was not overpowering.
