Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery

We decided to give them a try for the first time today after looking at the menu and seeing that they had a house made veggie burger. It was actually quite good. I just wish they had more vegetarian and healthy options on the menu. We also got a side of the Brussels sprouts which were tasting but soaked in a sweet/oily sauce so not very healthy. Overall the service was good and the veggie burger was one of the better ones we have had.

It was our first time at a Rock Bottom. It was super clean and the service team was friendly and efficient. I ordered the Bourbon Blue Burger with a side of potato tots and it came to the table in a reasonable amount of time. Eighteen dollars is a hefty price to pay for a burger, even with blue cheese. I eat with my eyes first, and I certainly did not see anything special about how the Bourbon Blue Burger came out. It was a good burger, just not eighteen dollars good. The tots were tots. Seems to be a cool spot if you are staying at one of the hotels in the entertainment district and had time to enjoy happy hour or a game on television.

Stopped in to cool down and try Rock Bottoms house IPA’s. Settled on Jimmy Legs (American IPA), (just not the day for 5 O’Clock Shadow-Black IPA), not too hoppy, yet strong front and back chocolate flavors. Blend of Centennial, Azacca, and Citra hops. 6.7% ABV. Slow Friday afternoon, very nice ambiance and clear views if the brewery. Nice Bartender. The Watermelon Seltzer was very good.

We went here for a quick drink and lunch. Ordered the pizza which was okay, just kind of on the sweet side. The beers are okay but VERY overpriced. We went on a Sunday because they offered $3 pints, however, due to false advertising we ended up paying full price for our beers. They advertise wheat beers are three dollars, but the wheat bear is actually 8.50. Huge difference. Due to this, it was a one and done place. We will not be back. Please note the name of the beer is Tangerine Wheat, but it is not a wheat beer. How?!?

Great view. A little to expensive for just a beer though. Nice server. Races were going on so it wasn’t crowded up top.
