About Rising Dragon

Welcome to Rising Dragon, a Chinese restaurant located at 814 Yellow Brick Rd in Chaska, Minnesota. Serving the Chaska community and surrounding areas, Rising Dragon offers a menu of Chinese cuisine with a focus on both dine-in and takeout options. As a local Chinese restaurant, Rising Dragon aims to provide flavorful dishes and convenient service to its patrons.

Based on recent customer feedback, the environment and overall experience at Rising Dragon may be evolving. One reviewer noted a significant improvement in food quality, suggesting potential changes in management or kitchen staff. They described the restaurant as being conveniently located just four minutes away from Carver, making it easily accessible for pickup orders. While specific details about the dine-in ambiance are not provided, the positive food review might indicate an improving overall experience.

The service at Rising Dragon appears to be generally efficient, although there was a mention of a temporary lack of a delivery driver on one particular day. This suggests that while delivery service is typically offered, it might be subject to occasional disruptions. However, the willingness of customers to pick up their orders indicates a level of satisfaction with the food that outweighs the inconvenience of the lack of delivery on that specific occasion. The friendly nature of the service can be inferred from the positive food review, as a pleasant overall experience often includes good service.

Recent reviews highlight both positive and negative aspects of the food at Rising Dragon. One customer had a remarkably positive experience, praising several dishes. They found the "fried chicken wings" to be "meaty and flavorful" and the "cream cheese wontons" to be "packed with delicious cream cheese and fried perfectly." The "house special fried rice" was noted for its generous amount of meat, particularly shrimp. Furthermore, the "General Tso chicken" was described as having "large pieces of moist white meat chicken" with a "fabulous" sauce. This overwhelmingly positive feedback suggests that when prepared well, the food at Rising Dragon can be exceptional.

However, another customer reported a significantly negative experience with a takeout order of chicken lo mein. They stated that their order was missing the chicken and contained an excessive amount of grease. This reviewer also referenced past negative reviews mentioning the discovery of "scour pads and clothes tags" in the food, leading them to express concern about the restaurant's food safety and quality control. They concluded that the food, which they remembered as once being tasty with somewhat generous portions, had declined in quality, advising others to "stay away." This starkly contrasting review indicates a significant inconsistency in the food preparation and quality at Rising Dragon.

The discrepancy between these two recent reviews is notable. The highly positive review suggests that Rising Dragon has the potential to serve excellent Chinese food, possibly indicating improvements or consistency issues depending on the day or dish. Conversely, the negative review raises serious concerns about food quality, accuracy of orders, and even food safety. Potential customers should be aware of this mixed feedback and might want to consider the specific dishes mentioned in the positive review if they decide to try Rising Dragon.

Currently, the provided reviews do not include any information about specific promotions or special offers at Rising Dragon. Many Chinese restaurants offer lunch specials, combination meals, or discounts for takeout orders. To inquire about any current promotions or special deals at Rising Dragon, it is recommended to contact them directly at (952) 368-9388 or +1 952-368-9388. They may also have information about specials available if you visit the restaurant in person or through any online ordering platforms they might use.

In conclusion, Rising Dragon in Chaska presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While one customer reported an outstanding meal with flavorful dishes and generous portions, another experienced a significant issue with their order, including missing ingredients and excessive grease, and alluded to past food safety concerns raised by other reviewers. This inconsistency suggests that the quality of food at Rising Dragon may vary. Potential customers might be encouraged by the positive review highlighting dishes like the fried chicken wings, cream cheese wontons, house special fried rice, and General Tso chicken, but should also be aware of the negative feedback regarding the lo mein and past quality concerns. Contacting the restaurant directly for the most up-to-date information on their food quality and any current promotions is advisable.

I don't know if they're under new management, but the food tonight was amazing! Hasn't been this good in a long time! The fried chicken wings were meaty and flavorful. The cream cheese wontons were packed with delicious cream cheese and fried perfectly. The house special fried rice had lots of meat (especially shrimp). The General Tso chicken had large pieces of moist white meat chicken and sauce was fabulous. Very pleased with the meal. Unfortunately, they were without a driver today, so no delivery. But that wasn't a problem. They're only 4 minutes away from Carver, so we were happy to pick it up.

Ordered some chicken lo mein for take out, they forgot the chicken and added some extra grease to make up for it. After seeing reviews about scour pads and clothes tags I consider myself lucky. Used to be tasty and somewhat generous portions something has changed. Stay away is my advice

This will be the last time I order from this restaurant. There was maybe 3 oz of meat combined between 4 dishes. The chicken chow mein was just celery and thickened soy sauce. The staff was not helpful at all when we called to place our order, it was almost like she was annoyed that I called. And they no longer deliver. For the price, I could have had Uber deliver Leann Chins from Chan.

Every so often, you stumble into a place that doesn’t just disappoint, but outright insults your sense of taste. This isn't just the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten – this is the worst food, period. I’m talking truly inedible. We plunked down ninety bucks for a pile of garbage that ended up right in the trash. It’s beyond comprehension how anyone could swallow this, let alone give it one star. Honestly, if there were a negative star option, that’s where I’d throw it. Zero stars might be generous.

If I could give a zero, I would! Not only have they always had pretty bad service, but there is no way they would pass a health inspection! The adults there are rude and impatient, and the kids that work there clearly violate child labor laws. But if that isn’t enough to deter you, be sure to check that your food doesn’t have any unwanted guests when you pick it up. In my case, it was a tag from a t-shirt. After making the 20 minute drive home from picking up the food, I dumped some of my noodles on a plate, and found the tag. I called the restaurant, explained what I found and politely asked for a refund. I was put on hold twice, and finally told that I would have to return to the restaurant with the entire order to see a refund. I explained that I didn’t want to make the 20 minute drive there and back again, but was given no other option. Once my husband and I got back to the restaurant, they dug around in the food with their fingers, picked the tag out, and started whispering amongst themselves. They only agreed to giving us the refund once we explained that we would be calling the health department in the morning. The final straw was watching him place the full container of contaminated food back on the shelf with the rest of the food coming off the stove that would be served to customers. This was all just disgusting and the way it was handled was unprofessional and and made it seem like we were the ones in the wrong.
