Riptides Raw Bar and Grill

Tried the $25 alligator bites and they were tasty but they don't give you enough. Seems like we got maybe 7 and the rest was fried vegetables. Kind of a rip off. I ordered the Mahi Mahi with the coconut rice and vegetables. The fish was extremely dry and overcooked for $25 plate. The rice was good and the vegetables were burnt. The shrimp poboy lacked enough sauce. The fries were good! The bartender did a great job making the drinks!

Perfect day to sit outside under an umbrella. The live music was just loud enough. The server and hostess were super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu items. The food was amazing. The portions are huge! It's probably the best spot at the beach! If you get the chance to visit here, take it. I can't even wait to go back.

We recently purchased a home in Ormond by the Sea, and this was our first time visiting Riptides. Our visit was during football game night, and it was packed. We were able to find a place at the bar to sit. Our server Destiny was great. The food and drinks came out quickly. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They were delicious. I ordered the steak salad, and my husband had the pork sandwich with fries. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be returning.

The food is out-of-this-world scrumptious!!! I don't think you can go wrong ordering any menu item. Our great waitress told us everything is made from scratch and cooked fresh daily. The menu items are Caribbean, burgers, seafood of all kinds, Cajun, chicken, and kid options. I loved the hush puppies, plantain hash (sweet plantain pieces with craisins & walnuts), & my shrimp and grits topped with a Cajun sauce and a beautiful, purple orchid! My bestie really liked the coleslaw. I really liked the jumbo shrimp and sweet potato fries that I snitched from her plate. Absolutely, completely delicious!!! There is a free valet service in the adjacent parking lot. Even with tipping the valet, we still saved a $20 parking fee that is common in almost all the parking lots along Ormond Beach coast. The wait staff was all very friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was very accommodating, making us feel like her new best friends. This restaurant is a definite must-go in Ormond Beach!! An extra serendipity is the Atlantic Ocean with white sand that's just around the corner within walking distance!!

We have been coming to Daytona for many, many years. We rarely miss an opportunity to visit Riptides Raw Bar & Grill! This time we visited on our 48th Wedding Anniversary and it was perfection! Our waiter, Dylan was excellent and the food was delicious. The manager stopped by to check on us and we shared that it was our anniversary…at the end of our meal, Dylan came over to congratulate us and offer us three excellent desserts on the house. We chose a deep fried cheesecake and it did not disappoint! If you are ever in Daytona, make sure you stop here for a lovely dinner and enjoy the outside dining atmosphere!!
