About Rice Wok Express

Rice Wok Express is a Chinese restaurant located at 3301 S Mayhill Rd in Denton, Texas, with the zip code 76210. They can be contacted at their phone number: (940) 387-2526 or their mobile number: +1 940-387-2526. As a local Chinese restaurant, Rice Wok Express aims to serve the Denton community with a variety of Chinese dishes.

When choosing a place to eat, especially a local establishment, it's common for potential customers to seek out the experiences of others. Online reviews can provide valuable insights into the food quality, service, and overall satisfaction levels. The available feedback for Rice Wok Express presents some significant concerns that prospective diners should be aware of.

One customer shared a disappointing experience with their order of "happy family," a dish typically containing a mix of meats and seafood. This customer reported paying extra for additional shrimp, beef, and chicken but found only two shrimp in their meal. They expressed skepticism about the quantity of the other meats as well, highlighting a potential issue with order accuracy and the value received for extra charges.

Further concerning information comes from another reviewer who stated that Rice Wok Express has a "straight 'C'" rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). This rating from a recognized organization suggests a history of unresolved complaints or issues with business practices. The reviewer strongly advised against eating at the restaurant, urging others to "trust me, you don't want to eat here."

Adding to these negative sentiments, another review appears to corroborate negative experiences, stating, "If you got stiffed by this place, you're not alone." This comment implies a pattern of unsatisfactory service or order fulfillment. This reviewer provided specific advice to those who have had negative experiences, recommending that they dispute the transaction with their bank or credit card agency, leave bad reviews (as they themselves were doing), and report the restaurant to the Better Business Bureau. Interestingly, this reviewer also suggested an alternative local Chinese restaurant, "Order Win Hing instead," indicating a preference for a competitor.

Based on this limited but strongly negative feedback, it is challenging to provide a positive introduction to Rice Wok Express regarding its environment, services, features, or promotional information. The overwhelming sentiment from these online reviews points towards significant issues with order accuracy, potential discrepancies in the quantity of ingredients, and a concerning rating from the Better Business Bureau, which reflects negatively on their overall business practices and customer service.

Typically, when introducing a Chinese restaurant, one would discuss the ambiance, whether it offers dine-in, takeout, or delivery services, the variety of dishes on the menu (such as different regional styles or popular Chinese-American fare), and any special promotions or lunch deals. However, in the case of Rice Wok Express, the available information focuses almost entirely on negative customer experiences related to the food and business practices. There is no mention of the restaurant's physical environment, the efficiency or friendliness of their service (beyond the issues raised), the specific types of Chinese cuisine they offer, or any ongoing promotions.

Given the seriousness of the allegations in the reviews, including the significant discrepancy in a paid-for order and the "C" rating from the Better Business Bureau, potential customers should approach Rice Wok Express with extreme caution. The advice from one reviewer to dispute charges and report the business to the BBB suggests that some customers have felt genuinely wronged by their experiences.

As a platform aiming to provide detailed introductions to local businesses, it is important to present an objective view based on the available information. In the case of Rice Wok Express, the overwhelming message from the online feedback is one of dissatisfaction and concern. Without any positive reviews or information about their environment, menu highlights, or services, it is impossible to paint a favorable picture. The absence of such information, coupled with the explicit warnings from customers and the BBB rating, serves as a strong indicator of potential issues.

Therefore, instead of detailing the typical aspects of a Chinese restaurant (environment, services, features, promotions), this introduction must primarily serve as a cautionary note based on the publicly available reviews. Local users in Denton, Texas, considering Rice Wok Express for their Chinese food needs should be aware of the reported issues with order accuracy, ingredient quantity, and the restaurant's standing with the Better Business Bureau. It would be prudent to seek alternative options based on this feedback unless further positive information or a significant improvement in their reputation becomes available.

I ordered happy family. I payed extra for extra shrimp, beef, and chicken. I had no way of checking beef and chicken but I sure could the shrimp. I had 2 two 2 shrimp in my meal. I wonder what I would get if I did not pay for extra shrimp.

These clowns have a straight "C" with the Better Business Bureau. Trust me, you don't want to eat here. If you got stiffed by this place, you're not alone. Here's what you need to do: - Work with your bank or credit card agency to dispute the transaction. This is the most important thing you can do. You should NOT be charged for awful service. - Leave bad reviews. You're here already so, you're off to a good start. - Report them to the Better Business Bureau. - Order Win Hing instead.

1st time,& last time..... They have spring rolls selling them as egg rolls. It’s supposed to have cabbage, carrots, onion and chicken but it doesn’t. It has a breaded filler. When I brought it back and asked about it, they said they don’t make it with vegetables anymore because they turn brown and go bad! 😳 do you just substitute stuff and not telling the customer? So then I was offered another appetizer; I wanted egg rolls..... so I requested a refund. They said they couldn’t refund me cause the manager wasn’t there. I asked them to call him..... they didn’t. But they offered to make me some with the ingredients it’s supposed to have. I don’t know how long they been doing this but they said a while. I don’t know about y’all but I have to be conscious of what I’m putting in my body. I want what I’m ordering, not what’s convenient for you. The pic with the egg roll with the white center was the 1st batch they gave me. The others pics were remakes.

2/18/2019- Went thru drive thru. The cashier was nice enough. The food was well packaged. The crab rangoons were not the average shape. Not much crab if any, chives were in one but not the other 3, very inconsistent filling. The hot and sour soup was the best part of the meal. The lo-mein with shrimp was ok, the shrimp were good but the noodles were over cooked a bit. The taste was their. Overall for the price I found it lacking a bit. Though the food was good. 3/12/201- my niece really liked the honey sesame chicken. My friend rice was ok. No complaints here. Thanks.
