About Reds Restaurant

Reds Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant situated at 12005 State Route 9W in West Coxsackie, NY. They can be contacted at (518) 731-8151 or their mobile number +1 518-731-8151.

Customer reviews for Reds Restaurant present a varied range of experiences. One recent diner enjoyed their calamari appetizer, prime rib, and king crab legs, noting the generous size and sweetness of the crab. Their only concern was the policy of charging for soda refills, but they indicated they would return.

However, other feedback suggests a decline in quality over the past few years. One customer recounted a negative experience from two years prior where multiple issues occurred. More recently, the same customer revisited for raw oysters and reported a series of service and food quality problems, including spilled drinks, incorrect orders, brown lettuce in a salad, slow timing of dishes, and cold entrees (king crab legs and lobster tails). Despite these issues, they commended the waitress's politeness and still left a tip. This customer mentioned they might return for oysters and clams specifically if no better options are found locally.

Reds Restaurant appears to offer a menu that includes seafood and steak options, with specific mentions of calamari, prime rib, king crab legs, raw oysters, clams, and lobster tails. While some customers have had positive experiences with the food quality of certain dishes, recent reviews highlight potential inconsistencies in service and food preparation. It is advisable to consider these recent experiences when planning a visit. For the most current information on their menu, services, and any potential promotions, contacting Reds Restaurant directly at (518) 731-8151 is recommended.

Been to reds a couple times each time has been great. I got the calamari for appetizer which was good, kind of bland needed some seasoning but marinara was great for dipping. Got the prime rib which was delicious cooked and seasoned great. My guest had the king crab legs which were huge and tasted great, very sweet. Only thing I didn't like was the fact they charge for refills on soda but I will be back again.

It's gone downhill in the last few years. My wife and I with a couple of friends had dinner there 2 years ago, and everything that could go wrong, went wrong. I decided to give it another swing for my birthday yesterday, simply because I wanted raw oysters. We started by having the waitress spill the oyster water/ice on me. She apologized and said she was new. Fair enough. She also brought me a can of beer I didn't order. Instead of being a jerk, I tasted it, found it acceptable and let it slide. The oysters and my wife's steamers didn't disappoint. Her salad and my soup come out next. She's 3 bites into her salad and picking out the brown lettuce. I only had a cup of chowder, but I wasn't finished when the entrees showed up. Her $75 King Crab legs were stone cold and she sent them back to get heated. My $55 twin lobster tails were lukewarm at best. At that point, I really wanted to just get up and leave, but we salvaged it. I grumbled through my tails and they were kind enough to sing me Happy Birthday for dessert. $259.21 after a $40 tip. I still tipped the young lady, as she was very sweet and nice, but I think she yet has a lot to learn. I don't know who orchestrated the timing of the food, but that was completely fumbled. We may go back over the summer just for the oysters and clams, unless I find a better option. It's too bad. My father was very fond of the Saratoga location for years.

On a 65 dollar soft shell lobster dinner, charged extra for a salad. And pulled a nasty long hair out of my mouth while eating it. Waitress asked if I wanted a new salad. This place has gone downhill as far as value, quality, and portions. I won't be eating there anymore. Sorry, not sorry.

Great old school place. I’ve driven by hundreds of times but stopped for dinner on my birthday for my first meal here. Like going back in time, and the good was outstanding. Friendly and attentive service

I ordered a poboy and it was terrible, they made bread ok not the French type but a good try, I wanted fried ousters but they were what three and no one puts tomatoes on it. The wife ordered the French dip and the meat was full of grizzle. So we drive 60 miles to get here and I don’t know what the attraction is but it was awful
