About Red Bowl China

Welcome to Red Bowl China, a Chinese restaurant located at 1185 Freedom Rd in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania (zip code 16066). As a Chinese restaurant serving the Cranberry Twp area, Red Bowl China aims to provide a variety of Asian-inspired dishes for its local customers. You can contact them at (724) 591-5919 or their mobile number +1 724-591-5919 for takeout orders or inquiries.

Based on the available customer reviews, Red Bowl China appears to offer a pleasant dining experience with some notable highlights. One reviewer, who has visited the restaurant twice, described it as "quite delightful." They specifically mentioned their partner's positive experience with the Singapore Mei Fun, noting that they "absolutely loved it." This suggests that the Singapore Mei Fun is a well-received and flavorful dish at Red Bowl China, potentially a specialty or a popular choice among patrons who enjoy this particular style of noodle dish, which typically includes rice vermicelli, shrimp, char siu pork, vegetables, and a mix of spices including curry powder.

This same reviewer also praised the staff at Red Bowl China, describing them as "incredibly nice, so sweet and generous with kids." This positive feedback about the staff indicates that the restaurant fosters a welcoming and friendly environment, particularly for families with children. Courteous and generous service can significantly enhance the overall dining experience, making customers feel valued and comfortable.

Another customer shared their experience from a solo dinner visit on a Tuesday night. They observed that while the restaurant itself was not busy with dine-in customers, there was a significant amount of takeout business. This suggests that Red Bowl China is a popular option for locals looking to enjoy Chinese food at home. This could be due to the convenience of their location, the efficiency of their takeout service, or the quality and appeal of their menu for at-home dining.

This reviewer ordered the yellow curry and noted that it seemed more akin to an Indian curry than a traditional Chinese curry. They described the sauce as "very thick" and mentioned that there was "not that much of it." However, they did acknowledge that the ingredients used in the curry were "fresh and good." This provides some insight into the style and preparation of their curry dishes, suggesting a possible fusion of culinary influences or a unique interpretation of a classic dish. Customers who prefer a more traditional Chinese curry might find this version different from their expectations, while those open to variations might appreciate the fresh ingredients.

The same reviewer also tried the spring roll, which they found to be "pretty bland" even with the accompanying orange sauce. Spring rolls are a common appetizer in Chinese cuisine, and feedback about them being bland could be a point of consideration for potential customers who typically enjoy flavorful spring rolls. The fact that the orange sauce did not enhance the flavor to the reviewer's liking suggests that this appetizer might not be a standout item on the menu.

Interestingly, the service experienced by this solo diner was described as "good," with a "kid serving my menu, water and silverware." This suggests that Red Bowl China might involve family members in the operation of the restaurant, and while the service was deemed adequate, it's worth noting the informal nature of it. This contrasts with the "incredibly nice" and "sweet" service mentioned by the other reviewer, indicating that service experiences might vary.

As a Chinese restaurant within the platform category of Chinese Restaurants, Red Bowl China likely offers a range of familiar Chinese dishes, including various types of stir-fries, noodle dishes, rice dishes, soups, and appetizers. The mention of Singapore Mei Fun and yellow curry indicates some specific offerings. Singapore Mei Fun is a popular dish in many Chinese restaurants, known for its flavorful combination of noodles, meats, and vegetables with a hint of curry. The yellow curry suggests an exploration beyond traditional Chinese cuisine, possibly incorporating Southeast Asian influences.

The fact that one reviewer found the yellow curry to be more Indian-style highlights the potential for variations in how Chinese restaurants interpret and prepare certain dishes. Customers with specific expectations regarding the flavor profiles of dishes like curry might want to inquire about the preparation style at Red Bowl China. The positive feedback on the freshness of the ingredients in the curry is a good sign, indicating a commitment to quality in their food preparation.

In summary, Red Bowl China in Cranberry Twp, PA, appears to be a local Chinese restaurant that has received positive feedback for its friendly and sweet staff, particularly their interactions with children. The Singapore Mei Fun is highlighted as a delicious dish. However, experiences with other dishes like the yellow curry (described as more Indian-style) and the spring rolls (noted as bland) have been less enthusiastic. The restaurant seems to have a significant takeout business, suggesting convenience and local appeal for at-home dining. Potential customers might find the staff welcoming and the Singapore Mei Fun a worthwhile try, but should be aware that other dishes might have flavor profiles that differ from traditional Chinese expectations or might lack in flavor intensity.

For local users in Cranberry Twp, PA, looking for a Chinese restaurant with a reputation for friendly service and a well-loved Singapore Mei Fun, Red Bowl China is worth considering. However, those with specific preferences for dishes like yellow curry or spring rolls might want to manage their expectations based on the provided feedback. Overall, Red Bowl China seems to offer a generally pleasant experience with some standout dishes and a welcoming atmosphere.

I ate here about a week ago. I stopped in for a quick dinner on a Tuesday night by myself. There was no one else sitting in the restaurant though a lot of people got takeout while I was there. I ordered the yellow curry. It seemed more of an Indian curry than a Chinese curry. Very thick sauce and not that much of it. The ingredients were fresh and good though. The spring roll was pretty bland even with the orange sauce. Service was good with a kid serving my menu, water and silverware.

The food was good and to all these people whining about a girl being the server - yes she did wait our table but she was so pleasant and kept checking in on us. With everyone being short staffed you have to do what you have to do and at least she wasn’t like half these kids glued to their phones and can’t even keep a conversation!!! Will definitely go back!!!!😊
