Red Basil

First time here, and I really liked it! Was craving Thai food, and this restaurant was nearby in West Jordan. Ordered the Prad kaprow with ground pork and fried egg, Panang curry with chicken, hot Chrysanthemum tea (perfect for a cold night), and mango sticky rice for dessert. The flavors were authentic, and the staff was really nice and attentive. The mango sticky rice was really good, but a tad too sweet. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

The best part about this place is the ambiance and it’s family owned! But the price point didn’t match the portions and quality of food. Most Thai restaurants give you good sized portions for the meal you get. Also they charge extra for extra rice when they don’t even give enough in the first place so that is quite frustrating. I’ve never been to a Thai restaurant that charges more for extra rice. The chicken kabobs were $12 and probably only amounted to half a chicken breast. The food was good but not great and I’ve been to plenty of Thai places that did it better. I probably won’t be coming back to this one unfortunately.

What a great find! First, the atmosphere is amazing and I never wanted to leave. It was intimate and beautiful. The food had amazing flavor and just the right heat for me (I got a 2 out of 4). The portion size was also perfect. The pictures are of the chicken and broccoli stir fry and Pad Thai. We will definitely be going back!

It's not often where I walk into a restaurant and am so impressed with the atmosphere that I'm sold and excited to try the food. Red Basil was one of these restaurants. The ambiance is incredible. The lights, the music, and the wall that displays an ocean and beach setting were beautiful. However, I feel the coolest thing was the menus that light up when you open them (check out the video I attached with this review). That was so awesome! I can go in and on about how creative and beautiful the presentation of the restaurant iand I haven't even started with the food. The food was wonderful. We had the yellow curry, veggie tray, and Pad Thai. For dessert was the mango and sticky rice. We loved everything they we ordered. Anyone who likes Thai food has to visit Red Basol!@@

Fantastic! The Panang curry was the best curry I've ever had- i loved the complexity of flavors and just the right heat. Soooo good. The atmosphere is so fun and well done and our server was friendly and courteous. We live in north Utah County but we'll make our way back up for sure!
