Customer reviews indicate that Ranchero King Buffet offers a buffet with a selection of dishes. One customer who visited on a weekday noted that the restaurant was not busy. Among the food items sampled, the agua frescas, mini pupusas, and salsa de jitomate asado were well-received. However, this customer found the flautas to be hard with dry chicken, and suggested that the green enchiladas could benefit from more sauce. It was also mentioned that approximately one-third of the buffet was empty due to certain foods being available only on weekends.

Another weekday visitor during the mid-afternoon also observed a slow pace with few customers. This reviewer found that the staff was actively replenishing the buffet selections, and most of the food appeared fresh and tasted good, without any single item being particularly outstanding in a positive or negative way. A highlight for this customer was the enjoyable lintel soup. Notably, guacamole was absent from the buffet during this visit, which was unexpected and disappointing, with the hope that it was due to the time of day rather than a permanent omission.

Ranchero King Buffet seems to offer a buffet experience with a variety of options. Based on customer feedback, the availability and quality of certain dishes might vary depending on the day of the week and potentially the time of day. Dishes like pupusas, salsa, and soup have been positively mentioned, while other items have received mixed reviews. Customers looking for guacamole may want to inquire about its availability.

My first time coming here was on a week day. The place was empty only had one other customer. Some of the food was not that great. The agua frescas, mini pupusas and salsa de jitomate asado were good. I also had flautas that were hard and the chicken was dry. The green enchiladas would be better with more sauce on them. Certain foods are only available on weekends, which made about 1/3 of the buffet to be empty.

We were there mid-afternoon on a week day. There were few customers, it was dead slow in the restaurant. The staff were busy resupplying the selections, and most of them were fresh looking and tasty. No one item stood out as exceptional, good, or bad. I really enjoyed the lintel soup and was happy to find it as good as it was. Guacamole is one item that was not on the buffet; I was very surprised and disappointed by the lack of it. I hope that was due to the time of day and not a permanent omission

Quick reasonable place for all the Mexican food you care to eat. Just know it's not like home. Food needs more seasoning. Service good. Nothing fancy.

This place has to be the worst restaurant I’ve EVER been to. And I’ve been to many. The food is horrible. The meats are so distasteful, unseasoned and disgusting. Even the Mac and cheese that had to be the easiest dish to make. The mashed potatoes were so NASTY, the potatoes were like sand. To tell you the least, the chips were the only thing edible. Not to mention the watered guacamole. I did not get to try the seafood section bc I didn’t want to risk my life. Finally the dessert, everything was made without sugar. Nothing had flavor. I don’t know how they have alllllllllll those famous Mexican celebrities eating here, this restaurant does NOT represent a Mexican culture. 🤦‍♀️

It's not even worth 1 star. How do you screw up so many dishes? The food on a whole is actually horrible. Some people say it's because it's cooked like authentic Mexican foods. My ex is from San Luis and their food is much better. I'll stick with Pappasitos until I'm back in Mexico.
