About Rainbow House Asian Bistro

Rainbow House Asian Bistro is a Chinese restaurant located at 143 N Curtis Ave in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. As a local establishment within the Chinese Restaurant category, it aims to provide Asian cuisine to the community. Based on recent feedback from customers online, the dining experience appears to be inconsistent, with significant concerns raised regarding the quality of the food and certain aspects of the service.

Regarding the environment, one customer noted that "the place was clean," which is a positive aspect of the dining experience. Cleanliness is a fundamental expectation for any restaurant, and this comment suggests that Rainbow House Asian Bistro maintains a certain level of hygiene in its premises. However, no further details about the ambiance or decor are provided in the available reviews.

In terms of services, the limited information does not offer specific insights into the attentiveness or efficiency of the staff beyond the food preparation and delivery (in the case of takeout). One review mentions the absence of common condiments like soy sauce, hot mustard, or duck sauce for egg rolls, which could be perceived as a lapse in standard service for a Chinese restaurant.

The features of Rainbow House Asian Bistro, as reflected in the customer reviews, present a mixed picture. One reviewer detailed several dishes that were found to be disappointing. The pan-fried dumplings were described as being deep-fried, the Kung Pao shrimp lacked chilies and included pineapple and button mushrooms, and the Egg Foo Young was served with packet gravy. The hot and sour soup was noted as flavorless and containing unusual ingredients like egg strands, tofu, cabbage, and more button mushrooms. Furthermore, the use of "bagged frozen peas and carrots" in most dishes, except the fried rice where they were expected, was highlighted as a negative aspect affecting the overall quality. The reviewer did mention that the egg rolls were the "best thing we had," providing a single point of positive feedback on the menu items sampled.

Another customer shared a particularly negative experience, stating that they decided to revisit the restaurant after six years based on hearsay that the food had improved. They ordered the General Tso's Chicken and Cashew Chicken combo plates and reported that the egg rolls were "total mush" and smelled terrible. Both main dishes were described as smelling and tasting awful, with greasy, overcooked, and hard chicken that seemed old and recooked. The sauces were deemed "awful," the peas in the fried rice were hard and dry, and the cashew chicken was predominantly diced carrots. The overall smell of the takeout order was so offensive that the customer had to seal the food and store it outside. This review strongly contrasts with any potential positive features the restaurant might have offered in the past, as the customer explicitly stated that the quality was "far worse than when we quit eating there 6 yrs ago" and vowed never to return.

The significant issues raised in these reviews, including concerns about food quality, preparation methods, ingredient choices (such as frozen vegetables and packet gravy), and even the smell of the food, suggest potential shortcomings in the culinary aspects of Rainbow House Asian Bistro. The lack of positive comments regarding the food, aside from the single mention of the egg rolls, indicates that this is a primary area of concern for recent diners.

No promotional information, such as discounts, special offers, or seasonal menus, is mentioned in the provided text. Local users interested in dining at Rainbow House Asian Bistro may want to contact the restaurant directly at (479) 451-8889 or +1 479-451-8889 to inquire about any current promotions or to get more information about their menu and services.

In conclusion, Rainbow House Asian Bistro in Pea Ridge, AR, has received recent customer feedback that raises significant concerns about the quality and preparation of its food. While one reviewer noted the cleanliness of the establishment, the overwhelming sentiment in the provided reviews is one of disappointment with the dishes sampled, ranging from unusual ingredient combinations and preparation methods to issues with freshness and taste. Potential local users should consider these recent experiences when deciding whether to dine at this Chinese restaurant. It may be prudent to inquire directly with the restaurant about their current menu and food preparation practices before making a decision.

So the place was clean, I can say that. Everything else was disappointing. Allow me to explain…check out the pan fried dumplings from the deep fryer, look at the kung pao shrimp with pineapple and button mushrooms- no chilies! egg foo young with packet gravy…hot and sour soup (flavorless) with egg strands, tofu, cabbage and more button mushrooms. Everything had bagged frozen peas and carrots- except the fried rice, where it should be. No soy sauce, hot mustard or duck sauce for eggs rolls. The egg rolls were the best thing we had. Just super disappointing all around, definitely won’t be back- that was fifty bucks.

We decided to give them another try after not having been in 6 yrs because the food wasn’t as good as it used to be. In their first few years the food was great! It was our favorite place to go but it had gone down hill. We kept hearing people say how good it was so we decided to give it another try after all this time. Big mistake. We got the General Taos Chicken and Cashew Chicken combo plates. The egg rolls were total mush and smelled terrible. Both our main dishes stunk and tasted terrible. The chicken was greasy and overcooked so it was hard, almost like it was old and recooked. The sauces were awful, the peas in the fried rice were dried hard, and the cashew chicken was a good 75% diced carrots. The scent of all of it was strong and gross and very hard to get past. It was so awful we couldn’t eat it. We tried to suffer through because it was our supper and we had paid good money for it. We couldn’t do it. It was that bad. And we aren’t overly picky people. We can usually suck it up if something isn’t up to par and isn’t spoiled. We got it as take out so our house absolutely wreaks from how bad the food smelled after we opened the containers and the food isn’t even in here anymore. The smell was so bad we sealed it all up and took it outside and put in the shop fridge until we can dispose of it. I’m sad to say it is far worse than when we quit eating there 6 yrs ago. We will not ever go back. I am struggling to understand how anyone could pick this as their favorite or recommended them as being great. I hate leaving this kind of review and try to leave positive ones every chance I get but I feel honest reviews are needed especially now when money is tight for so many and eating out is a treat. People need to be able to see honest reviews before deciding where to choose to spend their hard earned money. And there is also the hope that such reviews can help the restaurant take the necessary steps to improve. They don’t know what’s wrong if people don’t share their experiences.

Egg drop soup and chicken on a stick was fair but entree and service was terrible. Got the H4 which was chicken, beef, and shrimp in a spicy garlic sauce. To start flavor was very poor, tasted watered down. Sweet and not spicy at all like advertised. Chicken was dry, very small amount of beef and again ill say watery. I've never had Chinese food so flavorless and watery, literally sitting in a watery flavorless sauce. Look at the picture and judge for yourself. Person taking the order and at the register being the same person was rude and very short. Terrible customer service. My recommendation go somewhere else for your Chinese anywhere else

Overcooked mush. Inside the egg rolls was mush. The lo-mein noodles were mush. The veggies in the cashew chicken were mush. Waste of money and we still had no dinner. Completely disappointed.
