About Quik Wok Restaurant

Quik Wok Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 361 W Main St, Kuna, ID 83634, USA. They can be contacted at (208) 922-4088 or +1 208-922-4088.

As a Chinese Restaurant, Quik Wok offers a menu that includes items such as fried shrimp, General Tso chicken, pork fried rice, and soft chow mein noodles, as mentioned in customer reviews. However, recent feedback indicates significant concerns regarding the quality of the food.

Multiple customers have expressed strong negative opinions about their meals. One reviewer described the fried shrimp as tasting like pure oil and the General Tso chicken as mushy and lacking spice. The chow mein was likened to flavorless spaghetti noodles, and the rice was also reported to be bland. This customer stated that overall, everything tasted oily and was the worst meal they had ordered through DoorDash, expressing disappointment in their attempt to support a local restaurant.

Another review detailed a similarly negative experience with wonton soup that was described as nearly inedible and lukewarm. The reviewer also mentioned cold, rubbery noodles accompanying their spouse's meal and that their children refused to eat their food, except for an order of tater tots, which was considered the best item. This customer recounted spending nearly $80 on a disappointing meal intended for a special occasion and ultimately chose to leave the restaurant early due to the poor quality of the food.

One reviewer also raised concerns about the restaurant's handling of DoorDash orders and the potential difficulty in obtaining refunds due to delayed completion status. They advised caution to others considering ordering from Quik Wok, suggesting that it might be a gamble with their money. This reviewer also recommended other Asian restaurants in Kuna, Tasty Thai and Riceworks, as preferable alternatives.

Based on recent customer reviews, there are significant concerns regarding the food quality at Quik Wok Restaurant, with multiple reports of oily, bland, and poorly prepared dishes.

I dislike leaving poor reviews but this meal turned me off of eating. I chose the fried shrimp, general tso chicken, pork fried rice, and soft chow mein noodles. The fried shrimp tasted like pure oil, like county fair fried food but 10x worse…like literally drinking the oil. I had to dig the shrimp out of the thick battered crust and even then it tasted awful. The general tso chicken was mushy and the sauce wasn’t even a hint spicy like the description said…just maybe slightly sweet? The chow mein looks like spaghetti noodles and had no flavor. And the rice is flavorless as well. Overall everything is bland and tastes like oil. Worst meal I’ve ever had when ordering through DoorDash, it’s sad cause I wanted to try and support a local restaurant but never again with this place. Oh and I had to reheat everything even though the restaurant is within a 5-10min drive from my house. Overall not impressed. I would try and get a refund but since the restaurant hasn’t marked my meal as delivered and complete (since they utilize their own couriers) on DoorDash it makes me wonder if it’s intentional to leave it that way so people can’t be refunded. If people are leaving rave reviews I question their taste buds, whether or not they are legit, or if I was just lucky enough to get the worse made meal ever. If you’re looking for good tasting Asian food in Kuna check out Tasty Thai and Riceworks….they won’t make you regret your food choices. If you utilize DoorDash I highly recommend Tasty Thai, I’ve contributed a bunch of photos, lol. update: I was able to file an issue on DoorDash (since the order finally was marked completed) but looks like food quality issues don’t qualify for refunds. So be forewarned to avoid this place if you don’t want to gamble away your money.

I do not like that I have to leave a review like this, but I don’t want people to make the same mistake I made. Maybe it was an off day, but If I could honestly leave a negative review I would. Thursday was a very special milestone for me and to celebrate we wanted to go out to eat. It was so cold out that we chose here because we live fairly close. Big BIG mistake. All I wanted was a decent wonton soup. What I got was next to inedible, luke warm, and let’s not get into the flavor. Same for my husbands food which came with some cold, rubber like noodles, and my poor kids who would not eat their food, except an order of tater tots (which was by far the best thing there and all that got eaten). My four year old was so upset, that I made the choice to just leave. After almost $80, I was defeated, and what should have been a good night for us, was far far from it.

I cannot recommend this place. We stopped for takeout last night with sleeping kiddos in the car. We bought General Tso's chicken, beef and broccoli stir-fry, beef lo-mein, and spring rolls. The chicken was mushy and no hint of spice. The beef and broccoli was inedible and the spring rolls we nothing but mush sticks. Might be the worst food I've had in Idaho.

Very friendly service. If I understood the owner-chef correctly, the restaurant began in 2004, so it has served the Kuna community for 18 years. The Hong Kong noodles here is a homage to a classic dish tailored to American tastes. It provides a hearty meal at a good price.
