About Qing Qing

Qing Qing is a Chinese restaurant located at 2815 Palmer Hwy, Texas City, TX 77590, USA. They can be contacted at (409) 945-8880 or +1 409-945-8880.

Recent customer reviews indicate potential concerns regarding the food quality and service at Qing Qing. One customer who ordered the black pepper chicken reported receiving a combo meal with rice instead of the dinner portion they requested. They described the food as "horrible and very dry" and stated they would not return. This customer also mentioned an unhelpful response when pointing out that the phone number was missing from Google Maps.

Another customer, who had previously enjoyed the restaurant, expressed disappointment with a recent order of sesame chicken and spring rolls. They found the sesame chicken to be tough and seemingly old, and the rice appeared to be reheated. While the spring rolls were described as great on the outside, they were mushy on the inside. This customer expressed significant disappointment with their nearly $18 order and indicated they might not return.

These recent reviews suggest potential inconsistencies in food quality, including the freshness and preparation of dishes like black pepper chicken and sesame chicken, as well as issues with order accuracy and customer service. Local users may want to take these experiences into consideration when deciding whether to dine at or order from Qing Qing.

I stopped in on my way to work and ordered the black pepper chicken. I specifically said that I wanted the dinner portion and she said "yes", that is what I got. It annoyed me to get to work and find out that I was given some combo with rice. Totally disgusting and not what I wanted. NEVER GOING BACK.... FOOD WAS HORRIBLE AND VERY DRY.... I also told them that the phone number was not listed on Google Maps and she suggested other places for me to find it.... NOPE

I normally love this restaurant and I wonder if they changed owners or cooks or if it’s just because it’s New Year’s Day and it was slow? But I ordered sesame chicken and I order a spring rolls. Every piece of the sesame chicken was tough and you could tell old and the rice you could tell was heated up from maybe the day before I don’t know. The spring rolls were great on the outside but mush on the inside after spending almost $18. I’m pretty disappointed and may never go back.

I was looking for new places around us. I read some of the newer reviews that were positive, so I had some good vibes about the restaurant. It's in a strip mall behind a car wash. They have a small dining room. It was busy when we went in and got busier as we ate, that's a good sign people coming and going. We had the orange chicken and the PuPu plate as an appetizer. The Pu Pu plate was big enough to feed both of us before we got to the Orange Beef. The food was fresh, and the teriyaki chicken was grilled perfectly. I would recommend this place and I'll be back

Moved to Galveston the first of the year, and I have lamented the lack of edible Chinese food on the island. We ventured to Texas City today and before we left, I used Google Maps to find all the Chinese restaurants in the area. Found and chose this one based on the recent reviews. They did not steer us wrong on this! First, it is in a non-de script shopping center that doesn't look too inviting. Nevertheless, we entered and due to the time of day, all of the help were eating lunch, so I felt a little guilty interrupting. They invited us in and made us feel welcome. It's a fairly small dining room with probably around a dozen tables. They also appear to do a pretty good takeout business as well. Anyway, after being seated, our waiter was a boy (son of owner) about 10-11 years old. He was masked, polite, and professional. He knew all about the food as well, with good descriptions as well! Since it was a little before 3pm they were still running off the lunch menu, even on a Saturday! I ordered General Tso chicken with WonTon soup, and my wife ordered the Coconut Shrimp and Spring Roll. The food came out in less than 10 minutes both Hot and FRESH! Everything was perfect with no complaints on anything. Our waiter made sure we had everything we needed, including refills. VERY impressed with his maturity and professionalism! When I paid, I was assured that he kept all of the tip. Got extra from us...and we will return. I took a photo of my plate as an after thought, and still had it on macro, so the quality is lacking. But, as you can see, for a combo lunch...there is a LOT of food!

Used to frequent this place often got an order there about a month ago got home and it was wrong I had coconut shrimp and got coconut chicken. When I called to let them know that I had gotten the wrong thing they told me it was my problem they repeated it back and I should have been able to translate what they were saying never again shall I eat here or tell anybody to go here they are rude and if something goes wrong it's your fault not theirs not a good way to do business
