About OLLIE’S TO GO - UES

OLLIE’S TO GO - UES, located at 307 E 77th St, New York, NY 10075, provides a mix of Chinese and Japanese meal delivery and takeout. You can contact them at (917) 262-0842 or +1 917-262-0842.

Based on customer reviews, OLLIE’S TO GO - UES offers a variety of dishes, including traditional Japanese-style ramen and classic Chinese takeout options. However, it's noted that this location may differ significantly from the original "Ollie's" restaurants, presenting itself more as a basic Chinese takeout joint.

Here's a summary of customer feedback:

  • Variety of Cuisine: Offers a mix of Japanese and Chinese dishes, including ramen, fried rice, and beef with snow peas.
  • Ramen: Some customers enjoy the traditional Japanese-style ramen.
  • Chinese Takeout: Other dishes, like the Yang Chow fried rice and beef with snow peas, are presented as standard Chinese takeout fare. Reviews show the beef with snow peas had an overabundance of carrots and mushrooms.
  • Pricing: Lunch portions are around $11.95, plus tax.
  • Payment: A 4% “processing fee” is added for credit card payments. Paying with cash avoids this fee, which some customers feel is misleadingly presented as a "discount".
  • Self-Service: Offers self-serve hot tea and cold water.
  • Comparison to Original Ollie's: Customers are advised not to compare this location to the original "Ollie's" restaurants.

If you're looking for a mix of Chinese and Japanese meal delivery in the Upper East Side of New York City, OLLIE’S TO GO - UES provides a variety of options. Be aware of the payment processing fees and the distinction from other "Ollie's" locations.

Ollies has been a favorite go to for years. Offering a variety of delicious Japanesey food. I’ve been to midtown, UWS and today I’m at the UES location having a traditional Japanese style ramen dish. Pay cash for better price. Self serve hot tea and cold water.

Though it bears the name “Ollie’s”, one should not compare it to the original restaurant on the Upper West Side. Even then, this “To Go” incarnation is a rather basic Chinese takeout joint. The lunch portion of the Yang Chow fried rice cost $11.95, plus tax. The beef with snow peas (also $11.95) had too much carrots and mushrooms, which seemed like a cheaper substitution for just using snow peas. There is a 4% surcharge which they call “processing fee” if you pay by credit card so it is a bit misleading for them to say there is a discount if you pay by cash because technically the total amount is not lowered with a cash payment but merely increased with a credit purchase.

Nostalgic, oily food that tastes the same as Ollie’s has for over 20 years. Steamed vegetable dumplings, bright green, taste different from everywhere else and they’re a specific type of craving 😍 Chicken with broccoli was perfect with the crisp broccoli. You kinda regret it after you eat a full meal but then the craving comes back!!! Also the service at this location was so much nicer than other locations

Solid Chinese American spot for lunch. Food isn't greasy like most Chinese American spots however soups are thick and gelatin like which is a strange texture for most people. Orange chicken and kung pao chicken are good options.

Ordered the roast pork and wonton soup with egg noodles. The wontons alone were flavorful and steaming hot in the soup. You can taste the finer flavor inside the meat packed inside. The roast pork were thinly sliced but still a good amount in the order. A light sprinkle of spinach. Finally, they gave a lot of egg noodle and was surprised by how much. The soup was light and easy to drink and is an overall good and quick place for food 👍
