About Puente American-Latino Pub

Puente American-Latino Pub, located at 81 S Main St, Unionville, CT 06085, is a restaurant offering a mix of American and Latino cuisine with a full bar. You can contact them at (860) 404-2074 or +1 860-404-2074.

Based on customer reviews, Puente American-Latino Pub offers a unique dining experience with a large square bar in the center and table seating around the sides. The restaurant is praised for its beautiful decor, adding to the ambiance.

The pub offers various specials, including margaritas and Guinness, and a "2fur burrito" deal, which customers have found to be a good value with generous meat portions. The burritos are generally well-received.

However, some dishes have received mixed reviews. The nachos were described as okay but lacking in toppings, with many chips being bare. The fish tacos were also considered average, with corn tortillas that easily fell apart and fried fish cubes that didn't fit well. Customers also noted the absence of a spicy sauce with the fish tacos.

The short rib bowl was better received, particularly for the smokey beans, which added a unique flavor. However, the rice was described as bland, and hot sauce was requested to enhance the flavor. The beef was tender and well-prepared.

The fish and chips were not a favorite among some customers. The staff is generally friendly, although attentiveness varied depending on how busy the restaurant was. The portion sizes are generally generous, allowing for leftovers.

Overall, Puente American-Latino Pub offers a visually appealing environment with a mix of satisfactory and average dishes. The restaurant is known for its margaritas, burritos, and unique decor. Potential customers should be aware of the mixed reviews on certain dishes like the nachos and fish tacos.

3/24 update. Here for tuesday. Margaritas and guiness specials. Couldn't decide so i got both. Also 2fur burrito. Can't lose. Burrito was very good. Even on bogo they didn't skimp on the meat Went twice for dinner in a week. There is a large square bar in the middle of the space with table seating on the sides. We sat at the bar both times. Wait staff was fine, extra attentive/friendly the first night and less so the second night when they were busy. Decent selection of beer, one or two of every style. Had the nachos, fish tacos and the short rib bowl. Nachos were ok. Not much topping. Many of the chips were bare, see photo. Fish tacos were ok. Corn tortillas fell apart easy. Fish was fried cubes that didn't fit the tacos and fell out. Taste was ok, but had to eat them with a fork. I like a spicy sauce with the fish but there was not any. Short rib was better. Beans were really smokey which I thought added a lot to the uniqueness of the dish. The rice was blah. I had to ask for hot sauce to bring it to life. Beef was tender, fine.

Beautiful restaurant, loved all the little touches of decor. My son had the fish and chips he wasn’t too crazy about it. I accidentally ordered the wrong meal but the portion was very filling and I was able to take some of my meal home. Staff was friendly.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, Instagram reels have been catfishing me a lot lately. The food was I hate to say this trash, no flavor, nothing. It definitely was not Puerto Rican food, I guess I went there thinking it was. What a huge disappointment. We had the spicy Margarita that wasn't too bad, and the Pomagrante Margarita was also good. The chicken wings fried with no seasoning at all. The jalapeños queso dip was hard as a rock, dry, and we couldn't dip or even use the spoon, it was so hard and dry. We sat next to a couple they ordered entrees, we saw them took like 3bites and made a face, so I leaned over and asked, can I ask how you like the food, she said girl don't waste your time and money. I said I knew it. I told my friend and we all laughed, I said damn Instagram we all burst out laughing again, they said same for us, they drove almost an hour and they said they didn't enjoy anything but the tea, they had. With that being said, we opt not to order entrees and leave and find ourselves at another restaurant for entrees. I will say the decor is very nice and the service was good, the food was not what we expected it was watered-down wanna be spanish food, not authentic at all, no flavor at all. I like to be very honest, It was also pricey, not that matters to me, the food is what I went for. I don't think I would go back again.

I’ve been to Puente 6+ times and every time I’ve been, it’s been a great experience. The decoration is superb, very cozy and relaxing. The staff is polite and friendly and the food is delicious. My favorite is the taquitos, margaritas And the papi chili meal. It’s expensive but delicious and easily can get 2 meals from it.

My wife & me adored this restaurant. The inside is cool with low lighting for ambiance, and it is still well lit. The outside deck is the kicker. It is very spacious and well decorated with flowers and plants to keep the air pleasant and non distracting. It is on a main road, but with the food and the atmosphere, you really pay it no mind. The food was beautiful, hot, and very appealing visually. I must say the flavor of the food is superior!, splendid and well worth the money I handed over. It was me and my wife's 5th wedding anniversary, and Puente made it even more exciting and fulfilling. (no pun intended) Overall, I highly recommend Puentes restauran, It's a Treasure... Rodney J.
