About Plump Dumpling

Located at 174 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10003, USA, this Chinese restaurant is now known as Love Mama, although it was formerly called Plump Dumpling. You can contact them at (212) 254-5370 or +1 212-254-5370.

Love Mama is described as a quirky East Village gem with a comfortable atmosphere. Customers highlight the super friendly owner and the attentive service provided by the workers, who ensure guests are well taken care of.

A standout item on the menu is Uncle Plump’s Dumplings, which receive a perfect 10/10 rating from one reviewer. The creamy peanut sauce served with these handmade dumplings is particularly praised as being "to die for." While the minced meat filling is believed to be pork (it's recommended to confirm with the server), it is described as "frigging amazing" by a dumpling fanatic.

Love Mama also offers cheap and delicious $12 lunch specials from 12 pm to 3 pm, which include a spring roll and an entree with numerous vegetarian options. This makes it an affordable choice, reminiscent of older New York in both vibe and menu prices. While one reviewer mentioned that the bubble tea was just "calm" and likely not their specialty, the overall consensus is that Love Mama offers yummy food and kind service at a great value, making it a highly recommended spot.

Cheap and delicious $12 lunch specials (12-3pm) come with a spring roll and entree with lots of vegetarian options. Owner is super friendly. It’s a quirky East Village gem that recalls an older New York in vibe and in menu prices. Happy to recommend and look forward to going back soon.

Forget all these reviews. Here’s the legit one. First this place is called “Love Mama” Plump Dumpling was the old name. Secondly their Uncle Plump’s Dumplings 10/10!!! The peanut sauce is to die for!! It’s so creamy and you can tell the dumplings are hand made. The minced meat not sure if it’s pork (confirm with server) but it’s frigging amazing. I’m a dumpling fanatic and this spot was literally everything that I was looking for . Cheap, Very Comfortable on a nice night , and the workers are super attentive. They made sure i was taken care to the absolute best. I have tasted better bubble tea however it’s calm i can tell it isn’t there specialty so don’t expect it to be perfect 🥰.

I really enjoyed eating here. Nice atmosphere, the staff is cool, the food was delicious. I recommend (and I will probably misspell this) the Pad Ki Mao.

Tasted horrible. Shrimp and chicken were cooked last year and the noodles were cooked last week. Photo shows the food AFTER we are done with it. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Avoid this place if you can. Disgusting food, dirty location and horrible service. Welcome to New York! Pho Bo completely tasteless and burned PadThai. Couldn‘t finish it.
