The manager (Tamara) was very accommodating, friendly, funny, and generous. The server (Abby) was patient and kind. The food was AMAZING! The portion sizes were massive for the amount we paid. We will definitely go back again 🔥🔥

Thirty-five years ago, growing up in Cary, Plum Garden was the only Chinese restaurant my parents would order from—they swore it was the best they’d ever had. While I’ve always loved Chinese food and wasn’t as picky, now that I’m grown and living in Woodstock, I have to agree: Plum Garden truly is the best. Back then, our go-to dishes were the “Hawaiian Love Boat for 2” and the Triple Dragon. These days, I can’t get enough of their Mai Tais, Hong Kong Chicken, Crispy Honey Shrimp, and Chef Style Fried Rice. Honestly, I’ve never had a dish there I didn’t love! Beyond the incredible food, the dining experience is equally impressive. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a charming cultural flair, and the staff is nothing short of exceptional. From the warm welcome of the hostess to the attentive servers and the hardworking bussers, everyone is friendly, kind, and makes every visit feel special.

The BEST egg rolls! & possibly the best American Chinese food around. Very well executed dishes; very high quality meat being used! Seasoned to perfection; not too salty or sweet. The batter on the Hong Kong chicken is so light. The oil used for frying is the correct temp; nothing fried is greasy or oily.

When I first looked at the reviews, it didn’t look so good HOWEVER….. my friend Dee and I went here for lunch today. Our servers name was Hannah. What an amazing and darling person. Exceptional service with a smile, along with extra attention to detail. Great first impression. Our food arrived and wow! Probably the best Chinese food I’ve had with the exception of China town in NYC. Not sure what people are complaining about. Egg rolls are a 10! I had the orange chicken and fried rice, my friend had dragon soup and crab Rangoon. Again exceptional!!!!! Thank you for making our first time here such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back and will be asking for Hannah to be our server! Michelle & Dee

All I have heard was how amazing plum gardens was. I’m 4 months pregnant and CRAVING Chinese. My husband and I decided to treat ourselves and spend $65 on this place. It’s a 35 minute drive there and back home. We each get a plum bowl, two orders of potstickers made the special way with chili oil and garlic, and fried wontons. When I tell you when I opened the container my jaw dropped. My “fried rice” had no egg or vegetables in it. It was white rice with soy sauce and had absolutely no flavor. My general Tso chicken had no spice and it was so gelatinous that it was jelly like. The pot stickers were pure salt…PURE SALT. I had my first bite thinking it was the soy sauce you dip it in, no, it was the actual potstickers themselves. Also want to mention when my husband got in to greet the blonde lady at the counter she was extremely rude. Didn’t say hi and when my husband said “have a great day”, her response was “yup”. She clearly hated her job. I don’t usually complain but we also spent $100 on the so called “amazing food” and if I could I’d give it a negative review. I suggest saving your money, go to another Chinese restaurant and get double the amount of food for better tasting food. Such a disappointment especially for a pregnant woman craving it so bad.
