About Pine Garden Restaurant

Welcome to Pine Garden Restaurant, a cherished Chinese restaurant located in Oregon City, Oregon. Situated at 19360 Molalla Ave #130, Pine Garden Restaurant has garnered a reputation among local users for consistently delivering wonderful food, coupled with excellent service and remarkable value. As a go-to destination for Chinese cuisine in the area, Pine Garden offers a diverse menu of classic dishes, prepared with care and served in generous portions, making it an ideal choice for both individual meals and family gatherings.

Based on enthusiastic reviews from real customers, Pine Garden Restaurant stands out for several key attributes. Patrons frequently praise the consistently high quality of the food, indicating that each dish is prepared to a satisfying standard. The service is also consistently highlighted as "great" and "very kind," suggesting a welcoming and attentive staff that contributes to a positive dining experience, whether you choose to dine in or opt for takeout.

For those seeking a satisfying and economical meal, the combo meals at Pine Garden are a popular choice. Customers have noted that these combinations not only offer a variety of flavors but also provide substantial portions, often resulting in enjoyable leftovers – a testament to the generous servings that Pine Garden is known for. This makes it an excellent option for those looking for both quality and quantity.

Pine Garden particularly shines with some of its specialty dishes, which have earned high praise from its loyal customer base. The salt and pepper tofu is a standout item, described by one reviewer as "one of THE BEST I've ever had." The perfect crispiness and exceptional flavor of this dish have made it a must-try for many visitors. Customers appreciate the consistency in its preparation and express hope that the recipe remains unchanged, highlighting its unique appeal.

Another highly recommended dish is the beef chow fun, which is consistently lauded for its "huge portion" and abundant flavor. This go-to dish satisfies those craving a hearty and savory noodle dish, further emphasizing Pine Garden's commitment to providing generous servings without compromising on taste. The positive feedback on this classic Chinese staple underscores the restaurant's ability to deliver familiar favorites exceptionally well.

Appetizers at Pine Garden also receive positive mentions. The crab puffs are noted as being "good for the price" relative to the quantity provided, suggesting a good value for this popular starter. This attention to both quality and affordability extends across different categories of their menu.

The string green beans are another dish that customers appreciate. While one reviewer expressed a personal preference for a specific preparation involving minced pork and preserved spicy radish (a dish they acknowledge might be harder to find), they still consider Pine Garden's version to be one of their favorites. This indicates that even in the absence of highly specific regional variations, Pine Garden's rendition of classic vegetable dishes is well-received.

While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, there are also nuanced observations regarding specific dishes, which provide a balanced perspective. The General Tao's chicken was described as "good" but not a personal favorite, suggesting that while it meets a certain standard, individual preferences may vary. Similarly, the prawns with lobster sauce received a neutral "ok" rating, with the reviewer noting a preference for the prawns in black bean sauce, which they had tried on a previous visit. This highlights the diverse range of flavors offered at Pine Garden and how different preparations might appeal to different palates. The reviewer's specific search for a Louisiana-style crawfish in lobster sauce (with a dark brown, flavorful sauce containing onions and black beans) indicates a desire for a particular regional variation, which Pine Garden's version might not fully replicate. However, this reflects the reviewer's personal taste rather than a general critique of the dish's quality.

Overall, the sentiment towards Pine Garden Restaurant is overwhelmingly positive. Customers consistently use words like "obsessed," "wonderful," "great," and "good" to describe their experiences. The recurring themes of affordability, huge portions, and delicious food solidify Pine Garden's reputation as a fantastic local Chinese restaurant. The kindness of the staff, particularly noted during takeout orders, further enhances the positive perception of this establishment.

In conclusion, Pine Garden Restaurant in Oregon City offers a delightful and satisfying experience for those seeking quality Chinese cuisine. With its focus on delicious food, generous portions, friendly service, and affordable prices, it has become a beloved spot for local residents. Whether you're craving their highly praised salt and pepper tofu, a comforting bowl of beef chow fun, or a satisfying combo meal, Pine Garden is a reliable choice for both dine-in and takeout. I've gotten Togo twice from here. Very kind people! My great grandma would be happy that I found a good togo Chinese place so close to home! Salt and pepper tofu is one of THE BEST I've ever had. Please don't change this recipe. The crisp, the FLAVOR, wow. 10/10 Beef chow fun is always a go-to, huge portion and lots of flavor. 10/10 Crab puffs are good for the price with how many you get String green beans are good! I wish I could find a place that put minced pork and preserved spicy radish in it. Still one of my favorite dishes. General Tao's was good but not my go-to dish. Ordered it for my husband. Prawns with lobster sauce is ok. I tried the prawns in black bean sauce last time, I liked that better. I think I'm looking for something too specific. I had a dish in Louisiana that was crawfish in lobster sauce and the sauce was a dark brown, very flavorful, lots of onion, had black beans too. I can't find that here (not expecting crawfish but I'd like the same sauce) I think they mix the two together? Not sure but I'll be doing some research to find the exact sauce! Overall WOW this place is really good, affordable, and has huge portions!

Started coming here earlier in the year. Growing up in Oregon City I wish I ate here sooner. The food was surprisingly good. It is your standard American Chinese fare but what we've eaten had been delicious. This recent outing we had vegetable fried rice, vegetable chow fun, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken, four treasures in tangy sauce, and general tso chicken. My favorites has been the chow fun, fried rice, and Mongolian beef. We also got avocado smoothies for drinks. It's okay, not as good as a dedicated boba store but that is expected. Food came out hot and plenty to go around. The staff has always been accommodating and friendly. Definitely a place I would recommend if you're in the area.

Having grown up in LA, I tend to be a little picky about Chinese restaurants. All in all, this is a good clean place with generally good Chinese food. The service could be more friendly, but I would still recommend this to most people. The prices are reasonable. No problem parking. Very nice clean restroom, especially for a Chinese restaurant.
