Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors

I hate to give negative reviews, but this one is just unavoidable. A take-out order of chicken chow mein was quite possibly the worst I've ever eaten. Upon opening the container, one could clearly see two different colors of noodles. The darker noodles had some flavor, but the lighter colored noodles had almost no flavor. Even worse, the lighter noodles had the texture of overcooked, soggy spaghetti. Absolutely terrible. ☹️

We were in the area and we stoped by to get lunch however it wasn’t great. I ordered chicken teriyaki with sauce on the side, chicken was drenched in sauce couldn’t even eat more than 5 bites. We got a plate Mongolian bowl it was super salty my husband didn’t even eat it. I ordered the drunken chicken noodles. These noodles were very dry no flavor at all! It was disgusting to be honest. Wouldn’t dine again at all.

Well if you're looking for something after the movies or a afternoon quick meal. Then this place would work. Spend $20.00 during lunch combo for 2 persons. Not a huge servings size. Had the House Special and my wife had the Bourbon Chicken. House Special was nothing spectacular. Just Chicken. No flavors or spices. If I was going back. I would definitely try something with a bit more spice and flavor. Plus tables were left dirty. Bathroom was clean. Would I go back to try something else??? Probably not.

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I wanted to bring this to someone’s attention. So I came into this location and Mira Mesa and I called in my order. When I placed the order, I asked for a chicken salad and a side of fried rice. The lady that rung me up said, OK, so I thought everything was good. When I get to the restaurant, my order came to the total of $20.13 which I thought was a little high for a salad and a side of fried rice. So i checked my order and I said oh I’m sorry, I ordered a side of fried rice. She then responded to me that they are no sides of fried rice, which I was confused about because at the store in Murphy Canyon they do serve sides of fried rice. So I asked her if the menu was different at this location and she said no. I responded, OK I’m just a little bit confused because I used to work at the Pick Up Stix in Murphy Canyon just a couple of weeks ago and we actually serve side of fried rice. She said no that does not exist on our menu. I just feel like she should’ve let me know that they don’t serve sides of fried rice before ringing me up for a full order. I felt misled and I ended up taking it just because that’s what I was ordering for my son for dinner and he needed to eat. But if it wasn’t for that, I would’ve asked her to take it off Of my order. Watching the employees make the food in a very unsanitary way. Touching money and the register then touching the bottom on bowls filled with rice and stacking the bowls onto of rice in other bowls, after touching cash and not washing hands. I asked to speak to a manager and was told the person doing the unsanitary things was the manager. I would avoid this location!!!
