About Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors

Welcome to Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors, a Chinese restaurant located at 5576 E Santa Ana Canyon Rd in Anaheim, California. Operating within the category of Chinese Restaurants, Pick Up Stix offers a variety of Asian-inspired dishes for local users seeking a convenient meal. You can contact them at (714) 974-9777 or +1 714-974-9777.

Based on customer feedback available online, experiences at Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors appear to be somewhat varied. One customer expressed extremely high satisfaction with the food, describing it as "100% Perfect" and the "best fast food you can get." This reviewer, who visits California annually, stated that Pick Up Stix is always their first culinary thought upon arrival and expressed a lifelong intention to continue eating there. They also mentioned a particular fondness for the "house special chicken," which they have unsuccessfully tried to replicate at home for years.

However, this overwhelmingly positive review contrasts with another customer's more recent experience. This reviewer purchased two plates, the Firecracker Chicken and the Honey Chicken, and reported dissatisfaction with the food quality. A significant issue highlighted was the overcooked rice, described as having a texture akin to "mashed potato" rather than the desired "Al’dente." The reviewer suggested potential reasons for this, such as improper cooking or the rice being held in a cooker for an extended period due to low sales volume. Additionally, they found the chicken to be "hard to bite," indicating a potential issue with its preparation.

This second reviewer also noted shortcomings in the service. Despite ordering for "EAT IN," their food was packaged "to go," and their bag lacked essential items such as forks and napkins, which were also not readily available for self-service. This suggests a potential lack of attention to detail or efficiency in the service provided at this particular visit. Despite these negative aspects, this customer indicated a willingness to give Pick Up Stix another chance, citing the principle that everyone deserves a second opportunity. They did note that the cleanliness of the establishment was satisfactory, attributing it to the fact that the place was empty.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it is challenging to form a definitive picture of the typical experience at Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors. One perspective highlights exceptional food quality, particularly the house special chicken, albeit with mediocre service and atmosphere regarding the provision of utensils and napkins. The other perspective points to significant issues with food preparation, specifically overcooked rice and tough chicken, as well as inattentive service regarding order fulfillment and basic dining necessities.

Regarding the environment or atmosphere, one reviewer explicitly described it as "mediocre," although not significantly negative. The other reviewer mentioned the place being clean but empty, which doesn't provide much insight into the typical ambiance during busier times. It's reasonable to infer that the focus of Pick Up Stix is primarily on the food itself and perhaps the convenience of a fast-food style service, rather than a strong emphasis on creating a particular dining atmosphere.

In terms of services, Pick Up Stix appears to primarily function as a quick-service restaurant, possibly with a significant takeout component given the "Pick Up Stix" name. The discrepancy in the second review, where an eat-in order was packaged to go, suggests that there might be inconsistencies in how orders are handled. The lack of readily available utensils and napkins, requiring customers to ask for them, indicates a potentially less attentive or self-service model for these basic amenities.

Features of Pick Up Stix likely include a menu of popular Asian-inspired dishes, with the "house special chicken" being a standout item for at least one loyal customer. The concept seems to lean towards fast food, implying quick preparation and service, although the reported issues with food quality in one review raise questions about consistency in this aspect. The affordability is not explicitly mentioned in these reviews, but it is often a characteristic of fast-food establishments.

Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided text. Local users would need to check directly with the restaurant for any ongoing deals, discounts, or special offers.

In conclusion, Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors in Anaheim, CA, presents a somewhat mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While one long-term customer raves about the food quality, particularly the house special chicken, and considers it the best fast food available, another recent customer experienced significant issues with the preparation of both the rice and the chicken, as well as shortcomings in the service. The atmosphere is described as mediocre, and basic amenities like utensils and napkins may not be readily provided. Potential local users should be aware of these contrasting experiences when considering dining at Pick Up Stix and may want to manage their expectations accordingly.

Food is 100%. Perfect. 5 stars best fast food you can get. I travel to CA only once a year and pick up stix is the first thing I think of every time I’m here. Service and atmosphere are mediocre but nothing that’s significant (they don’t give you utensils or napkins unless you ask and they aren’t even available to grab yourself). I will continue to eat here as often as I can justify for the rest of my life. I’ve been trying to replicate their house special chicken for years and can’t do it.

Hi everyone 👋 I bought 2 plates, for me and my fiancé. Firecracker chicken and honey chicken. Food was not ok, rice was completely overcooked, texture was way to softy. Rice have to be Al’dente no purée like mashed potato. Probably someone’s can’t cook rice or they not selling a lot of food and rice staying too long in rice cooker. Chicken was hard to bite. To be honest, I ate way more better Pick up Stix than this one. Even people working here don’t care about job. No forks in bag, no napkins, they put my food to go, I ordered EAT IN. I will give them another chance, because everyone deserve for second chance. Place was clean because was empty so nobody make it messy. For now barely two stars ⭐️⭐️

Ive love their house special chicken & their chow mein alot, yea it is a tad pricey since covid but normally its worth it, staff is very nice & orders are done well. The only real issue I have personally for me is the chow mein used to have this carmel colored sauce on it, which they don't put alot on which makes the noodles taste crappy.
