About Phoenix Pavilion Chinese Restaurant
Welcome to Phoenix Pavilion Chinese Restaurant, a local establishment nestled in the heart of Stanwood, Washington, at 8714 271st St NW, 98292, USA. As a Chinese restaurant, Phoenix Pavilion aims to bring the rich and diverse flavors of Chinese cuisine to the local community. Operating under the phone number (360) 629-4662 and reachable via mobile at +1 360-629-4662, this restaurant offers both dine-in and takeout options for your convenience.
Based on customer feedback available online, the experience at Phoenix Pavilion Chinese Restaurant appears to be varied. One reviewer shared a negative experience regarding customer service during a carry-out order. This review detailed an interaction perceived as rude when a customer arrived slightly early for their online order pickup. The reviewer also expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the wonton soup, describing it as lacking flavor and having a potentially rancid taste. This customer strongly advised others to consider their experience before ordering and suggested an alternative local restaurant.
Conversely, another customer provided a glowing review, portraying Phoenix Pavilion as a "nice quaint small town restaurant" operated by a dedicated couple. This reviewer highlighted the efficiency of the service, noting that food arrives quickly even when the restaurant is busy. They also praised the food as "amazing" with "huge" dinner portions and commended the "great" service. This positive feedback extended to the restaurant's accessibility, mentioning that it is open on all holidays and attracts customers from neighboring towns like Everett and Mount Vernon.
Considering these contrasting perspectives, potential customers may find it beneficial to weigh both experiences when deciding whether to patronize Phoenix Pavilion Chinese Restaurant. The restaurant's environment, described as a "quaint small town" setting, suggests a more intimate and perhaps family-oriented atmosphere. The fact that it is reportedly owned and operated by a couple with no additional employees indicates a hands-on approach to the business, which could contribute to both the efficiency praised by one reviewer and potentially the service issues reported by another, depending on the volume of customers and the demands of managing all aspects of the restaurant.
Regarding services, Phoenix Pavilion offers both dine-in and takeout options, catering to different preferences and needs. The positive review suggests that the service can be efficient, especially in terms of food delivery speed, even when the restaurant is full. However, the negative review raises concerns about the courtesy and professionalism of the customer interaction, particularly concerning online orders and addressing customer feedback.
In terms of features, the restaurant's operation by a small team could be seen as a unique aspect, potentially leading to a more personal touch, as suggested by the positive review. The large portion sizes mentioned could be a significant draw for customers seeking value for their money. Furthermore, being open on all holidays indicates a commitment to serving the community even during peak times.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided text. In conclusion, Phoenix Pavilion Chinese Restaurant in Stanwood, WA, presents itself as a local Chinese eatery with a quaint environment and a small, family-run operation. While one customer review praises its efficient service, delicious food, and generous portions, another highlights significant issues with customer service and food quality. Customer Reviews
I really enjoy when I can leave a good review. Unfortunately, this is not that kind of situation. Looking through the reviews, it seems as though the only honest ones are the one and two stars. I placed an online order for carry out for only some wonton soup. The soonest available time to pick up was 1130 and when my husband got there to pick it up, he was nine minutes early. when she “greeted” him, he let her know he was there for an online order and she became extremely rude to him lecturing him how his online order was for 1130 pick up time and just turned and walked away. He wasn’t in a hurry and was willing to wait as he knew pick up time was technically, 1130, but as it was only wonton soup, thought maybe it would be ready early, no big deal if it wasn’t. He said there was not a single soul in that building. After he shared his experience with me, I called to try to speak with whoever was in charge just to let them know our experience, especially as first time customers. As soon as I asked for a manager, the lady pretended to not know what I was saying and just kept asking over and over again if I was placing an order to go or pick up. When I asked her if She could understand what I was saying, she told me “yes I can understand you just fine and you can speak to me if you want to talk to somebody.“ when I realized she was refusing to let me talk to anybody else, I talked to her about the experience as a first time customer and how she didn’t need to be rude. She started yelling into the phone, lecturing me as well about the 1130 pick up time and I tried to explain to her He was OK with that and was just a little bit early and just letting her know why he was there. I really wish I would’ve looked at the reviews before trying this place. Not only is the customer service severely lacking, the soup had zero flavor, I’m mean none. The broth looks like it’s just water that is murky. The pork inside ever so slightly had a tiny taste of ginger and tasted sour. I will leave another review if I get sick from it because it is almost rancid tasting. I was really hoping that at least the food would make up for the horrible treatment. I left them a 15% tip on a to go order where they weren’t even servicing us and really wish I could get that money back. I really advise anybody looking into ordering or dining out here to really take the good reviews with a grain of salt. Save your money and go to the Dragon Palace as their service is always amazing and the food is delicious. The only reason why we didn’t go to them this time was because they were not open until 4:00. Never, ever again!
This is a nice quaint small town restaurant that is owned and operated by a couple with no employees, they do it all themselves! I don't know how they do it but you'll never wait long before getting your food even when the place is full of people. The food is amazing, the dinner portions are huge and the service is great. I have family that will travel from as far south as Everett and as far north as Mount Vernon to come here to eat. Thankfully I live much closer! They are open for all holidays too. Great place to eat!
New visit for 2022 and they are stil very good and have really great food always wholesome portions. If you want spicy five is good enough for most people. Everything is nice and fresh and the banquets are generous. The lunches are perfect portion for a good fill.
Placed an order and communicated that the customer service was not the best. We got a call back from a women and she started yelling at us on the phone about our review. No follow up on how to make it better, no recourse just aggression. This is obviously not the first time this has happened from reading the other reviews. DO NOT EAT HERE.
If I could post 0 stars, I would. We and many others just stood there for as long as 20 mins+ to even be waited on. When seated, the waiter would not check on you not even one time. You did not receive complimentary tea like you normally should. Food took a very long time even with no one else in the restaurant. When food arrived, it was barely warm and completely cold in some areas of the dish. Food was made mediocre and a mainly protein dish only had 33% meat in the dish.
