Pho So 1 Restaurant Quincy, MA

I was looking for a good spot to find Bun Rieu and a friend recommended this place. Finally had a chance to try it and I’ll definitely be coming back. The staff was friendly and attentive to us. Each broth was bursting with flavor and we all gave it a 10/10 for first sip.

I am a huge Pho fan, have tried many Pho places in NYC and The Greater Boston area. In my opinion, Pho So 1 ranked # 1 of all the Pho I have tried. The broth is rich, can taste a bit salty at first; it balances out when you mix in the herbs and lime. For #14, Pho Dac Biet the XL bowl, they give A LOT of meat! Get the XL bowl if you LOVE Pho

The food was, as always, delicious. However, the service was exceptionally disappointing. I’ve never had to spend two hours dining in, and this was solely due to the poor service. It took 20 minutes to place an order, followed by a 30-minute wait for takeout boxes. Additionally, it took another 20 minutes to receive the bill. This restaurant has typically been reliable, so I wonder if the absence of the owner contributed to the lack of efficiency, as seen in other establishments.Alternatively, it may have been because we were a larger party, and the staff could have been more focused on the guaranteed revenue we provided. Initially, I thought the delay might have been due to a party event, but once that group cleared out, it was clear that all the tables that arrived after us had already been served and left.

Beautiful new restaurant that is family owned! Everything is clean. Food is delicious! Drink menu is very extensive and includes drinks that other Vietnamese restaurants do not have. Definitely a welcomed addition to the south shore!! Will be coming back to try many more dishes. Highly recommend others try this restaurant and will be telling family/friends!

Pho So 1 in Quincy is a solid spot for Vietnamese food. The pho has a rich and flavorful broth, and the menu offers a good variety of dishes. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. The service is friendly, though it can be a bit slow during busy times. The ambiance is simple and casual, making it great for a relaxed meal. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area
